South Shore Golf Course

It’s early in the year so it’s expected that the course wouldn’t be in great shape but this was egregiously bad. And the golf carts looked like they hadn’t been washed since last year. Absolutely awful.

All the tee boxes are "under repair" , the temporary locations are pretty pathetic. This is winter golf in the north east. Someone should have noted this earlier, you don't find this out until you get to the starter.

Grounds crew (if they have one ?) Should be fired. Understand course gets a lot of play but so do a lot of other courses in NJ and they are fine. Not kidding Grounds crew should be fired

Tee boxes need a lot of work but fairways and greens are in good condition

If properly maintained the course is well designed and fun to play, but the management has let the course deteriorate to the point it's not only not fun but downright unplayable. Greens were ok, still recovering from aeration but tee boxes and fairways look more like grazing areas than golf courses. I got a golf now hot deal and used a promotion so at least it want so expensive, the rack rate with cart(and the carts are in horrible condition) is just not worth it. I won't be be back this year, hopefully next year will be better, too many other places to play for better conditions and value.

All the Tee boxes were in terrible condition no grass at all in almost everyone, when teeing up the ball on the one's that had grass, the grass is so high that it's above the ball. you hit grass before the ball!!!

The fairways were so- so but the first cut was too high, had a lot of trouble finding the ball.

The greens were aerated and nobody say a word that the were being aerated.

Pace of play was very slow. constant waiting on almost every hole.

Overall a terrible experience.
