South Shore Golf Course

Course was worn down and many tee boxes were all sand. Not worth the price.

The front 9 of this course is currently closed, However, you do not find this out until you arrive at the pro shop to check in. I believe that GolfNow should advise GolfPass members right on the web site of the current situation / any unfavorable conditions before allowing unknowing golf members to book and pre-pay a tee time.

We played the back nine twice because the front was being aerated. Overall the course is in pretty bad shape. Most of the boxes are patches of dirt, fairways are decent, but the greens being recently aerated were very poor and loaded with sand. Glad I didn't pay full green fees or I'd be more disappointed.

Needs maintenance, fairways to be cut, greens to be rolled traps to have rakes! Lack of on course food/beverage concession or cart person hurts. Heavy tree and undergrowth requires trimming and yhinning out.

If all addressed, it's a much better experience. As is, quite attractive with some very appealing hole design.

Awaiting grass growth. Traps could be improved...with sand! Need ranger to keep players in position.

On a cool and breezy fall day, my friend and I tookon South shore. We breezed through the first 9 holes in two hours but were held up on the back nine, because of a very slow group ahead. There were no rangers to be found to move the slow group along . The course was in good conditions, tee boxes, greens and fairways were far better than any other American Golf course in the local area . Due to Covid there were no snacks, beverages on site or with a cart crew. Unfortunately the carts and bathrooms did not appear to be cleaned of covid during intraday usage..

Fairways like short ruff, not cut properly. Tee boxes were mostly dirt. Greens were decent.

Overall we enjoyed our round at South Shore. Conditions were good except for the leaves which made finding balls a little harder. Pace of play would have been good but we were behind a very slow group that was not told to pick up pace by the course ranger. But overall a good time and good course.

Pace of play was slow. Teed off a little late. GREENS WERE THE BEST I'VE EVER SEEN THEM. Some tee boxes need help.

There hasn't been a working soda machine, cart person or snack bar through the re-opening? This is unreasonable! At the least, a functioning machine to purchase water, soda or Gatorade should be mandatory!

The tee boxes aternate between elephantine mud flats and overgrown grass mini-fields!

Fairways need manicure, traps are ok, greens are fair to poor. Any ball hit past the fairways become lost in the scrub and most fairways have so many leaves that locating a well hit ball is a challenge?
