Need to Focus on Fixing 2 holes
Two holes still have not opened since last season. They really should adjust pricing down until done.
Not what it used to be.
Place used to be the comman man golf course that was affordable for people to play multiple times a week. Now it’s taken over and ruined by greed. The owners own 3 of the 4 golf courses on staten, raised all the rates, eliminated the players club. Not even a resident discount is crazy.
Greens
Always great yesterday a few greens were under repair we only played 9 but couldn't putt on three holes. That is not common for there usually always great. For weekend rate for 9 I would have discounted it knowing 3 holes were not fully functional. This is my go to course and still will be.
South Shore Golf Course
The course is in pretty good condition for a public course however there are still a couple of greens on the back 9 recovering from damage caused by vandals. The pace of play was a little slow but not bad. Staff always friendly.
Good course
Good course, there were 2 temporary holes so conditions can be better.. not very hilly so walkable. The pace of play wasn't bad but the season. Is still early.

We arrived on time and everything was ready to go we played a quick 18 and done in 3.5 hours will definitely do this again
Full Price for Temporary Greens
This course has so much potential but they are losing fans of it by having people pay $80+ for 2 temporary greens on the back 9, tee boxes that are straight up dirt, and jamming it with back to back tee times. There’s just zero care anymore, but why would they fix anything if people keep playing it.
Stay away until the summer months.

There are 2 temporary greens. Which I was told it’s been there since October… not sure why.
Course layout is good for walking it’ll be good exercise
Cold…but the course was open.
Played golf on a 32 degree January day. Windy and cold but I’m not complaining. The golf course was open. Everything is as to be expected. Ground is frozen, fairways and greens are hard. Don’t expect to place a tee in the ground. Just use a fairway wood off the tee. If you have the need to pay golf and don’t care about the weather the course is in perfect condition to knock off the rust.
