Must play
This course punches way above its weight. Unquestionably the best value in the area. Great layout, and the greens were rolling fast and true - in February.
Great course, worth the ride
Played Legacy for the first time in many years, so I couldn’t remember a lot about it. Probably will not be that long before going back. Only negative was having to play by myself, in the middle of a number of three and foresomes, which, over course of the first eleven holes, I was able to pass. Still would have preferred to play with someone. As for the course, it is a great mixture of holes, with medium fast greens. All in all , a good deal on Golf Now for a great course.
Good Course
Good Course to play on. Definitely worth what I paid for. It was really cold but thats my problem not the course. I think the scenery enhanced the experience and the course presented a few challenges other than distance. Fairways were green and green was maintained which made them really fast. (Especially on down hill putts.) Great time with my group and will expect to return some time in the future.
Don’t Miss It
Be sure you play this course. It has a very good layout, is in great shape and was a great value for the $36 price.
Legacy Golf Links
Played here recently as a 4 some, 2 couples. Hardly anyone on the course so pace was perfect, except we had to let two singles and a threesome go through us which slowed us down.
The course is a nice layout and on most holes everything feeds toward the middle, making it play a little easier. Course was in descent shape for this time of year and the price was right. Check with the pro shop before booking online at this time of year. You may get a better deal.
If you are looking for an easier course that is enjoyable, I think you will like this one!
Back nine is great
Enjoyed the round. The staff could not have been friendlier. The back nine was beautiful. Our foursome played in 3 hrs and 15 minutes. It was a good golf day
Enjoyable day
We were a twosome which normally can be a pretty slow day especially on Saturday. Pace of play was good until about 15th hole when things got backed up and it took an hour and a half to complete the last 3 holes. Very enjoyable course with good variety and very good condition.
Enjoyable golf
This is a great layout and right now the course is in great shape. Guy in the clubhouse was very friendly, starter was great and knowledgeable, and we saw many rangers on the course trying to keep things moving along. It was an enjoyable round. Some really difficult holes, like #18. Great par 3's. Was disappointed to see so many new houses on the front side - would prefer not to see them while I am golfing. Back nine still has an isolated feel. Definitely worth the money and I will be going back soon.
Nice conditions
Course was in great shape. Greens are quick and you have to read the grain on every shot.
Absolute Steal!
Played course day after US Kids event. Course in perfect condition, paired up with another single; 3 hour round on a Sunday. Call first to get details of course conditions and pace of play. What I was informed about was 100% correct :)
Terrible Customer Service
Had one of the worst experiences with any pro shop staff, grumpy abrupt old man behind the counter. Made the reservation through Golf Now, it seemed to anger him. I tried to find info on senior rate but he was unresponsive, an angry response to any question, obviously wasn't keen on tourist playing their course. The drink cart had a flat at 2 in the afternoon, there was no water on the course and no drink cart throughout the round on a hot and humid summer day. The course was fine, nothing special, much better options in the area. Advertised as a Nicklas designed course, nothing approaching the beauty and hole design of a normal Nicklas design, actual architect was his son decades ago.
Highly recommend this course
The course was beautiful and in great condition. Everyone there was extremely friendly. Of the 5 courses we played (including Pinehurst #1) - this was the best! I'll be back if I'm ever in the area again.
Great Golf Course
We played Legacy for the second year in a row, and everyone agreed that we need to keep it in the regular rotation.
The course is in great condition. The greens are moderate speed and true. The fairways are medium width, and many tend to funnel the ball toward the center. This course is not easy, but extremely fair. Your score will reflect your play. Greens can be somewhat tricky, but if you pay attention to the predominant slope of the surrounding terrain, you'll avoid some misreads.
Full driving range and practice green. Decent clubhouse and grille for an after-round drink.
Solid course, good conditions
The course was good with a decent hole layouts and good conditions. The only real complaint is the price for the round. The course was busy so you can't expect to get a big discount but it was a bit steep considering how many other courses are in the area.
Would play again if the price was lower.
