Melrose Country Club

I played this course several times when it was a private club and a few times in the past year. This course has really gone down hill. The greens were in bad shape and there was a lot of black bare spots on them. The fairways had a lot of weeds on them except for #18 which was perfect. (you can't drive the carts on 18). The price I got was cheap, and now I know why. If I had paid more, I would have asked for a refund.

I collect souvenir balls from every course I go to and of course they didn’t have any in stock and the pro shot was completely empty, but was still a good time I don’t know how anyone can have a bad time golfing

Just sell already. Why steal from people who just want to play golf!

had the unfortunate displeasure of paying $70 to play at this atrocity of a golf course. Let’s start with the property. It looked liked i was playing golf in Iraq. The practice green, which should exude the quality of the of the course we just payed almost a hundo to play, looked like a scene out of a crack house horror film. While looking for my ball, I found a ziplock half filled with brown powder which was clearly heroin. Every green had black dead patches and were filled with weeds making it impossible to sink a regular putt. The fairways were a joke, but not as big a joke as the dirt filled areas that riddled the course. To cap off a complete waste of $70, at hole 13, our golf cart completely died, and after roughly 15 calls to the clubhouse at 4pm no one bothered to answer and we had to push our cart up hill to get to the end. The garbages look like they weren't emptied in weeks. Overflowing and absolutely putird, the flies were unbearable. The ball cleaners water smelled like death not being changed in weeks. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY PLAYING HERE. I WOULDN'T WISH THIS PLACE ON MY WORST ENEMY. IT WAS THE WORST GOLF COURSE I HAVE EVER PLAYED. EVER. DISGRACEFUL.

A lot of potential for the course. Has a great course layout but the upkeep of the greens and bunkers left something to be desired. Greens were overgrown and cracked in places leaving it difficult to get true putts. Multiple bunkers were filled with water.

The course is fun, but the greens are in pretty bad condition.

All of the greens had a lot of weeds growing on them making almost every putt impossible to roll true or as intended, it’s even worst than aerated. One of the par 4 tee boxes was closed and we were asking to “tee off” midway up the fairway. Bunkers were rock hard.

Green fees were the same as if it was in good/normal condition. Not worth the experience.

Terrible course, not sure what happened. If we didn’t skip a group it would’ve been a 6 hour run and the conditions are terrible. Will never come back.

I’ve played here at least once per year over the past 5 years and feel like it is in slight decline. It’s still a nice course to play but at the price point you would expect it to be in better condition. The greens are very slow, patchy, and just not up to par with other courses in the area.

The course condition is very poor. Grass is not cut. Green are not being kept well. Weeds are growing on the green. This was a massive shift since played there in the beginning of June.

I rarely write reviews but this was horrible. The greens were super slow and full of patches of weeds. Putts would start on line then hit one of these patches and move a foot left or right. Teeboxes were in better shape than the greens. Layout wasn't bad but couldn't fully experience it since every bunker was a small pool. We had gotten rain the night prior but these bunkers didn't drain at all. Checking in was a pain since nobody could be found in the pro shot. Range was closed and the "chipping area" was a patch of weeds cut in a circle.
