Gilbertsville Golf Club is a public, 27-hole layout in New Hanover Township. The holes are divided into three different nines called the Red, White, and Blue. The nines sprawl across the rolling hills of Montgomery County, which is most apparent on the most challenging of the three, the Blue Course. The Red and White, the club's original 18 holes, have a more traditional layout while the Blue Nine, which was added 30 years later, is more modern with rolling fairways and large, undulating greens. Surprisingly the Blue is the shortest of the three golf courses but it feels longer due to the constant up-and-down. Golfers will encounter a number of tricky lies on this nine and there is also water coming into play on nearly every hole.

Made a few craters on the greens and happily used the repair tool. Unfortunately choked on my few birdie putts. Photo submitted by u000007953538 on 11/18/2013

Decent
Rough was very thick. good price and in decent shape. Recent green airation but almost healed
27 hole option
Course has not been maintained. Needs attention. Rough was 4 inches thick. Few water coolers on course. Cart paths are crushed stone and primarily rutted out. Notification should ALWAYS be given when the greens are being aerated.
Good Track
Greens were aerated but were in good shape and fairways are looking good. A little swampy from all the rain we had.
Fairways and Greens are in great condition
One of the best values around. Conditions never disappoint.
Great layout
Nice course, Scenic holes with no houses on course, putting greens maintained well
Great Little Secret
I played during the ridiculous heat, but I still really enjoyed my round at Gilbertsville. We played Red to White that day. I've played all 3 courses, and I enjoyed all 3. Red has a couple challenging hole, much more so than the white and blue. The course is in really good shape, and was much more enjoyable than the first time I played there. My only complaint was some of the grounds crew would literally mow right next to you as you were hitting your shot instead of idling the mowers like most courses. Oh well though. Overall, it's a great course and I'll definitely be coming back!
Great value
Got a 'hot deal' for a threesome on a muggy morning after a night of rain. Despite all the rain, the conditions of the fairways and the greens were terrific. The course layout is a bit challenging, with rough that surely punishes you if you stray, but there are minimal hazards to contend with. The length, even from the back tees, is manageable even for a bogey golfer like myself. We played white to red and felt like both 9s had their highs and lows, but definitely great value for the price.
Ok Course
Course was in good condition, but layout has much to be desired. A few of the bunkers are not complete yet. Greens are flat but are well maintained. Pretty uninteresting course, but if you want to shoot a pick me up round this is the place. Its wide open.
Great course for all levels of player.
The course is kept in excellent condition. Super friendly staff. Mostly open fairways for the high handicap but still has some changeling holes.
Course conditions were disappointing, as they are usually pristine!
I have played this course many times and was always impressed with it's overall condition. Yesterday was a definite surprise, and not in a nice way. The greens were spotty, many had moss patches/bald patches, which is unusual as they have always been pristine in the past. In addition, the fairways were "beat up" and are in need of attention. Given that they received 1 1/2" of rain the night before and were expecting another 1 - 1 1/2" of rain that day, I was very surprised they were open. Only played because we had purchased the discounted rounds through Golfnow and couldn't get a refund unless the course closed.
The course is a great value.
Course conditions were good. There are three nine hole courses, red, white, and blue. We were scheduled to play red, to blue. However, because of an outing running late, we had to play the red twice. Otherwise it was good.
Course was in excellent condiiton especially considering it is so early in the season.

Always enjoy GVille
I have always enjoyed this course. The Blue nine has been a nice addition. There's a bit of drainage problems on white nine that ned to be addressed but otherwise a nice layout and in good shape.
No frills course - good for beginner
In my quest to play different places I booked Gilbertsville which is an hour trek for me. The course has drainage issues on the red and white courses and after a rain it was WET. Didn't really find any wow factor on the overall layout and no real elevation changes to speak of. Early spring so fairways were spotty and greens were recovering from recent aeriation. On a positive note the 27 holes was a novelty with the blue course being the best of the 3 and if you can get a golfnow discount rate on 18 plus do a replay of 9 it is an inexpensive day of ball striking....for us it was 27 holes for 30$. Best bet for the $ and quality would be blue to red and blue for the replay. But wait for dry conditions ! Doubtful I'll return.
Great course for the money!
Had never played the Blue before, a very nice layout.
Course was in very good shape, even after overnight rains.
Greens had recently been aerated and were a week away from being back to normal. $18 greens fee / cart from Golfnow can't beat that!
priced right $18, still in winter mode, needs work
priced right $18, still in winter mode, course needs work
very wet
The course is recovering from very wet conditions and quite a bit of erosion. Good course but to early in the year to really play well there. Play winter rules.
This course is kind of plain. Good course for beginners.
The course was extremely wet, but that was probably due to the time of the year as much as anything else. The tee boxes, fairwas and greens were in good shape for this time of the year.
