Landis Creek Golf Club
About
Just a short drive from King of Prussia, Landis Creek Golf Club (previously known as Limerick Golf Club) is situated right along the border of Chester County and Berks County. Opened in 1965, the course has a traditional layout that is player friendly enough for all skill levels. In 2012, the golf course changed ownership and also underwent a major renovation. The greens were reconditioned and the irrigation system improved, which has elevated the conditions of the course. The layout is a classic links design that is mostly open though there are a few mature trees that call for accuracy. Strategically placed bunkers provide challenges throughout but you won't find much water on this golf course, though there are two lakes that come into play occasionally. Landis Creek Golf Club has some tricky holes but overall it's gentle enough for beginners to approach with confidence.

Muddy!
It rained the day before and the course doesn’t drain well. We walked on the mud every hole. But it wasn’t bad for the price.
Nice piece of property but...
Gorgeous property that was in terrible shape. The course has literally no drainage system and was a muddy mess. Even worse was the trash all over at almost every hole. Beer cans overlooked almost every tee box. Looked like there was no maintenance crew at all. This could be a premier closures if a drainage system was added and maintenance crews actually did their jobs. Disappointing.
Friendly Starter, Good pace and condition
The starter was really nice and gave good insight for first timers to the course. The course condition nd pace were good and the price was fair.
Great value
Not just inexpensive. but greens nice good pace good people
Good course. Greens were aerated but still in good shape. Some of the tee boxes could have been in better shape
Good
Pace of play got slow. An older couple in front of us made our 18 holes about 30-45 minutes longer than it shouldve been. Not the courses fault. Greens were fast
Surprised
Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much. I found this course to be challenging and “getable” at the same time. Used my driver way too much and paid the price on some holes. Now if your precise with that stick, than you’ll be set up with good looks to the greens. Tee boxes we’re beat up, but you could find a spot on everyone that was ok enough to tee it. The fairways were in very good condition, first cut was distinct enough to leave some nice lies. The rough was trimmed down, so finding your errand shots were manageable. The greens were aerated and healing, so the putting was a bit bumpy. I can see the greens being real nice in a few weeks though. All in all, this course is worth the play. Easy to get to and worth the price.
Landis Creek
I was very disappointed that they were charging FULL price when the greens had just been freshly aerated and were horribly bumpy, as a result of it. We all know that aeration is a 'necessary evil" for every golf course but they really should discount the green fees when they do it.
The signage for directing you to the next hole really needs to be improved. And lastly, they need to have distance markers in the fairways. There were several holes that you could not easily discern where the fairways were laid out. Yardage markers/stakes would easily solve any confusion.
I stayed afterward and had dinner in their restaurant. Food and service were very good at very reasonable prices. ALL employees were extremely friendly; especially the Starter.
Terrible Experience at one of my Favorite Local Courses
Worst experience I have ever had at any golf course. Allow me to start off by saying that historically this has been one of my favorite courses in the area and I play all over Chester and Montgomery county. Perhaps something changed from when this was called Limerick to now. My friends and I were seriously micromanaged by the course attendant starting off and through several holes. We then took our usual break for lunch between hole 9 and 10. We spent over $100 on lunch but evidently this was not the right thing to do. The course attendant berated us for not playing through 18 holes and said that he never saw anyone at any golf course he ever worked stop for lunch and that he would try to work hard to get us back on. I have played golf probably 20 times this year and we stop for lunch every time with no issues. Not only this but the food was average and took forever. Combine this with having an offical all over you, greens that are aerated like swiss cheese, and being discouraged from spending money with a local business? You wont see me again...
