Landis Creek Golf Club
About
Just a short drive from King of Prussia, Landis Creek Golf Club (previously known as Limerick Golf Club) is situated right along the border of Chester County and Berks County. Opened in 1965, the course has a traditional layout that is player friendly enough for all skill levels. In 2012, the golf course changed ownership and also underwent a major renovation. The greens were reconditioned and the irrigation system improved, which has elevated the conditions of the course. The layout is a classic links design that is mostly open though there are a few mature trees that call for accuracy. Strategically placed bunkers provide challenges throughout but you won't find much water on this golf course, though there are two lakes that come into play occasionally. Landis Creek Golf Club has some tricky holes but overall it's gentle enough for beginners to approach with confidence.

A Work In Progress
I had a Victory Golf Pass and paid only $17. If I would have paid the normal rate, I would have been really upset. This is a great course for beginners and those looking for a confidence booster. The guy in the clubhouse was very, very nice! As for the course condition, most of the greens are choppy and spotty. Tons of clover in the rough and finding balls can be a challenge and frustrating. The sand traps were mostly unplayable. No roll at all in the fairways. I know they are trying to clean up this track but until then, play elsewhere — as there are way too many better options in the area.
A course for beginners
Course conditions are not great. Dried out fairways with bare dirt in spots. Weeds growing in the fairways and so many pitch marks on some of the greens it tough to putt. It's a course that is fine for a beginner or high handicap.
Old Limerick Course
Played Landis Creek in 3 hours on a Saturday morning, can't beat that.
The layout is pretty ordinary, with a wide open front 9, there are a few holes on the back (11, 12) in particular that I could do without. 11 really needs some distance markers near it.
Greens and green complexes were very nice, didn't roll all that fast, but rolled true. They did good work to them, fairways (outside of one or two) were pretty good.
This place was great for a quick, affordable round - great for beginners. Still gotta hit shots and make putts, but a lot of room to miss, and nothing too long. Would come back depending on what I am looking for.
Nice restaurant and patio.
Fun course
Have not played there gor years.. Front nine wide open and fairlyveasy. Back nine much beter eith the tree removed from 11...
Greens in great shape...excellent bang for buck!
Nice course
The large greens make for a bit of a challenge in a good way. Like the layout of the course. Even with a ton of rain the day before, the course was in great shape. Highly recommend playing this course at least once if your close
Day at the creek
for the money, not bad. Greens were bad but the rest of the course in tough shape, fairways mostly burnt out, need watering, trees need trimming back.
3 Hour Round
Played on a monday at noon as a single. Finished in 3 hours, one twosome waived me through. Greens in great shape, some of the tee boxes a little chewed up. Overall course was in good condition, could use some more watering in some of the burnt spots. Get it on a hot deal and dont think twice.
Not a bad round
Course was discounted on a Sunday morning via GolfNow. Based on the discount, it was well worth it as the course was in decent shape and the pace of play was great for a Sunday morning. I definitely would play here again for the right price!
Landis Golf Course
Overall nice course. Wasn't busy and course was in great condition. Open course not very challenging besides 1-2 holes. Great beginner course or just a great practice course. Great bar attached
It could be better
Greens were recently aerated. Fairways in good shape and rough is short. New ball washers at 12 holes. No ball washers at the others. No free drinking water at any of the holes. Bring your own or pick up after 9 holes since it can get mighty dry out there.
Great Sunday course
Awesome pace of play and perfect for all levels of golfers.
Good Value
The best I can describe Limerick is "blue collar golf course." Nothing special, the holes are pretty easy for the most part. I would play here strictly for price and location. The staff is good here and they mostly let you play solo. Front 9 is pretty easy but the back 9 there are some tricky holes that you have use something other than driver off the tee.
Okay but only for a good deal
Played for the first time. Got a great deal ($22 for 18 with a cart) so worth the lack of tee maintenance and poor fairways. Would only play again for a similar deal.
Pleasant Round of Golf
The course is open and fairly easy. The course conditions are pretty good. The staff was very friendly. great value.
Impressed
First time at this course, heard they put some time and money into fixing it up. The investment was well worth it. Good conditions, open fairways overall nice facility
This course is in great shape
I would play this course again when I get the chance. Thank You
Bipolar at best;
My friends have learned from me that a good round starts before you even get to the course. It takes preparation, and google earth.
From the start, a golfer visiting here will be confused at first. Google Maps, and the street signs, all point to Limerick Golf Club. It's important to note that the club has changed ownership in the past couple years, and it's still getting it's feet wet with the name Landis Creek. They've set up there website with this name, and have tried separating the restaurant from the course; the Pro shop isn't in the building, it's in the hut out back. From the sign on the Highway, to the Scorecard and Logo Balls, you'll feel like you are playing two different courses.
Perhaps the course could benefit from this? Maybe. The course is two very different set's of Nine Holes. The front is flat and easy to manage, with a good chance to make some Birdies. The back starts off with a challenging 212 yard par three, and only get's more difficult with Blind shots and tight fairways. If I were going to only golf nine holes, I'd avoid going off of the back nine like the plague.
Overall the course and management did a great job with amenities. There was a Cart Girl driving around with Beverage's, and we saw here more than twice! In addition, they had a grill set up outside with Burger's and Hot Dogs! Beer was reasonably priced, with a four pack of Rolling Rock only 8.50!
The rough was thick, but playable. The greens were fast, but smooth. The whole day worked out well, and for being just outside the reached of the Snotty Clubs like Merion and Aronimink, it's well worth driving here to play.
Oh btw; The restaurant has a HUGE patio, so if you like spending time outdoors, this is the place for you. The 19th hole here is great for everything.
new name same game
It was difficult finding a reasonably priced tee time over memorial weekend. I thought I would give limmerick now Landis Creek another chance after a two year absence. Same ol same ol....not an enjoyable tract. I will not return no matter the price.
Landis Creek
I thoroughly enjoyed this course. was in very good condition considering it just opened a few weeks ago. Fairways are narrow and well defined, greens were soft and held high approach shots and excellent condition for this time of year. Landis Creek is not a long course but can be very challenging, you still need to put the ball in the correct spots off the tee.
Seaview Stay & Play Golf Package
We just got finished playing Landis Creek Golf Club, Limerick, Pa and I would rate it as probably the worst kept golf course the the Phila. area. It maybe that they had to lay off people and they’re not back to full operation but I would not play there again until I spoke to a personal friend of mine who just got finished playing there and promised me that it’s back in shape. I don’t like to hurt any business but they better get they’re act together soon. Sorry Landis Creek.
