Landis Creek Golf Club
About
Just a short drive from King of Prussia, Landis Creek Golf Club (previously known as Limerick Golf Club) is situated right along the border of Chester County and Berks County. Opened in 1965, the course has a traditional layout that is player friendly enough for all skill levels. In 2012, the golf course changed ownership and also underwent a major renovation. The greens were reconditioned and the irrigation system improved, which has elevated the conditions of the course. The layout is a classic links design that is mostly open though there are a few mature trees that call for accuracy. Strategically placed bunkers provide challenges throughout but you won't find much water on this golf course, though there are two lakes that come into play occasionally. Landis Creek Golf Club has some tricky holes but overall it's gentle enough for beginners to approach with confidence.

Nice Greens and Fairways.
The course overall was in fine shape everything was fresh cut on a Friday morning. The greens rolled very nice and were super sticky on long shots. The fairways were maintained at an average level and rough was short enough that it was tough to lose a ball. My biggest gripe was the tee boxes I like a nice level tee box and what was there was lumpy and torn up. This could be solved by changing tee locations more often but overall the course was nice and the price was right!
slow play
3 hours to play nine holes. We quit after 10 and went home. No apparent attempt by course mgt to speed slow play.
Great Price, Great course
The course was in great shape except for the bunkers. Most were not raked, and a bunch had standing water on them. But other than that, the course was in great condition. Which was a bit of a surprise after reading some of the reviews on golfnow before i booked.
Nice course
Overall a very nice layout and good value. The tee boxes are a little too firm, rough is pretty thick. Greens were fast and some had diseases. Tight to houses on the second nine, could be somewhat intimidating for a beginner.
Nice course for the money
This course played well. The greens played true to the layout. The bunkers need a little more attention as some were almost dried out completely. Other that that, the fairways were easily seen and greens were well maintained. I would play this course more if it wasn't so far away...about a 45 minute drive.
The course was over booked!
First hole had 14 people waiting to tee off when I arrived. Most people I have seen on this course at one time ever; totally packed. I only got through 5 holes before walking away in complete frustration. Could not get a rhythm going...too much sitting time in the cart. At this pace I was looking at a 6+ hour round.
Good Value for the money
Greens are in good shape, good value for the money.
This course was bad
The only nice thing about limerick golf course was the club house and bar. Every tee box was just dirt with some grass and was hard as a rock. The fairways looked good till u hit from them and they were also hard as a rock. Greens were not to bad. But all around I won't be going back. Good thing I didn't have to pay full price.
fun course to paly
Course was in great shape, well manacured, clean and very enjoyable to play. staff was excellent, great value for the money
Confidence builder
A good course to help build confidence in your game. Even if you miss the fairways by a lot you'll find few thin lies, but not excessively punishing rough, and the relative flatness means few difficult lies, so you'll have more chances to actually make a shot as opposed to just hacking out. The greens are fairly slow but have enough undulation to make you read your putts correctly to be successful. Low handicappers will find plenty of opportunities to bend the ball around obstacles both from the tee and the fairway making it more interesting if you are playing with someone who needs confidence building.
good course for the long hitter
Great course, for all skill levels. If you like to use every club in your bag as I do you will def. Like this course, nice clubhouse great food, and cost effective. I live on this course and a lot of good improvements last couple of years, I like to try different courses but I keep comming back to this one, I recomend to all to try it once. Good luck and have fun
Great value with some challenging holes
The front 9 was in better condition then the back 9. From what I understand this is under new management and they started to repair the front first (makes sense). Once completed this would be an excellent rating.
Fantastic value.
The front nine was in prestine conditions, but the back nine needs some TLC. From what I understand the course is under new ownership and they put their attention to the front. If they put that much attention on the back the course would be prestine.
Good course but still needs some work
Course was good, has a few interesting holes that require some thought on how to approach them. Tee-boxes could use some work, as well as some of the greens although the starter that we had emphasized that they had just aerated the greens 4 times in the last 2 years to get rid of a bunch of thatch, and it showed. All in all a great day as the course wasn't crowded at all. A solid 3-4 rating!
GREAT WEATHER, AND COURSE CONDITION IS EXCELLENT
GREAT WEATHER, ENJOYED AT THE COURSE
FRIENDLY STAFF, NOT MUCH A PEOPLE
Reasonable value for money - but pretty scruffy
Played day after significant rain, and it was cold and windy, so course was muddy. Didn't finish, had to get home - had been out 4 hours 20 minutes, with 4 holes left. Tee boxes need reseeding. No ball washers had water in them. Went 6 holes without finding trash container on a tee box. Scruffy course, but just barely OK for price [$35 with cart]. Course is flat enough to be walkable. Par 3s were best holes on course. Back 9 tighter than front - many doglegs - don't use driver - course right up against houses on back 9. Cart paths are gravel - but need a lot more - very muddy and bumpy. Greens OK - reasonable speed, not too many ball marks. No pro shop, but nice folks in bar where you pay. Not one of the better choices in immediate area.
This course needs some renovations.
It was very difficult to drive on the cart paths, which are not paved. The paths were muddy and had many puddles. In my opinion, the course should have been closed the day we played due to fog and the wet conditions.
A well designed course.
This is my second time playing Limerick and I had a good time. We played the day after some heavy downpour so course conditions were as good as they could have been. A big pet peeve I have is getting ready to load up the cart and seeing that every cart seat has a puddle of water that needs to be cleaned off. Otherwise, this course was a good challenge that allowed me to use all clubs in my bag. I look forward to playing Limerick again.
Unchallenging, poorly conditioned, no pro shop, no range, lousy practice putting green, etc.
This course is easy, poorly conditioned and has no pro shop. You pay your greens fees at the bar. There is no merchandise offered for sale. There is no driving range and the putting green has one hole in it and is in poor shape. The greens are slow as molasses and there are bare spots all over the course.
This course was extremely boring and poorly kept.
I've never had to write a negative review for a golf course. I've played some pretty awful courses before, and have never really been to bothered by the conditions. At the courses I played that were less than stellar, there was at least a slight attempt to keep the course manicured nicely. I played Limerick for the first time on Thursday and I will never go back. First, there were simply no fairways on all but 5 or 6 holes. There was no distinguishable lines between fairway and rough. The course was just long and straight, and extremely boring. The greens were what killed the experience. I've played courses where the fairways are less than spectacular, but I've never been bothered by that fact. As long as I'm golfing, I'm having fun. But this course was so poorly kept, I was miserable. The greens were COVERED in geese feces. Every single hole was unplayable due to the amount of geese feces on the greens. I would have understood if it was just a few holes here and there, but literally every single green was covered. I was not about to pick up goose feces just so I could putt. On top of the geese feces, there was sticks and leaves everywhere. I don't know if they just don't have a groundskeeping crew or what, but this was literally the absolute worst excuse for a golf course I have ever laid eyes on. I've never been disappointed in a round of golf, but this was a first time for me.
