Linfield National Golf Club
About
Linfield National Golf Club is a public course that is one of the area's best values. Formerly known as Sycamore Ridge, the course changed ownership in addition to its name. Since those two major changes, the course boasts better conditions and a renovated clubhouse. The layout has a classic links design that incorporates traditional elements including water, trees, and a variety of elevation changes that range from subtle to dramatic. The up-and-down of the golf course is one of the most challenging elements of the layout. The course is tight with a few adjacent fairways but this configuration also allows for a bit of extra room for recovery shots. Some of the holes at Linfield National Golf Club are quite narrow but it is still possible to hit the green in regulation. Though the course is only 6,164 yards, the rolling terrain will make it seem much longer.

Course has great challenging holes
Linfiled National is a hidden gem. It boast a pretty nice compact layout with plenty of challenge for all levels of golf.
The staff are top notch!! Will play there again.
Vastly improved
If you have not played Linfield in a while go back. You will not believe what the new owner has done with it. Excellent fairways, greens and tee boxes. Traps now have sand in them though could use just a bit more. Will play it again when I am in the area.
Nice course but slow play
Nice course but we had a 5 some playing ahead of us which made it really slow.
The course is nice but the price should be in the 20s not in 40s. They will attract a lot more golfers if it was cheaper.
GREAT DAY GREAT CONDITIONS
Beautiful weather and top notch conditions. I really dont have any complaints other then the greens look to break one way and end up dead straight. Also some of the pin placements were a bit aggressive but it ads to the difficulty of the course. Hidden Gem imo
Good course for the fee
Booked on Golf Now and got a great rate. Staff was friendly and the pace of play was excellent. The course seemed to be in very good shape although I would like to see people fixing their ball marks on the green more. All in all we will return to play again
Good local public course
Suspect weather to start but course was in great shape considering the down pour we had the night before. Fun course, challenging, lot of dog legs but fun and can score on the par 5s
Great Value
This course was in great shape and very fun to play. Not overly difficult but still maintains a fair level of challenges.
Great layout
Big improvement over a few years ago. The course was in great condition.
A+ Course Must Play!
This course is a must play for ANY golfer looking for a great time. The conditions were far superior than other courses in the area. Well maintained tee boxes, fairways, bunkers, and greens provide an added bonus for the great price. The staff was very friendly and nice, and even though we were a little late on our tee time, very accommodating. The features of this course has everything: hills, valleys, woods, water, doglegs, and strategically placed bunkers. Hole# 12 is probably the toughest hole I have seen anywhere! If you like Turtle Creek which is nearby, you MUST try Linfield. Believe me you will be surprised, gratified, and pay less! In my opinion this is the BEST course in the area.
Linnfield Golf
Nice layout and in good condition.
I always enjoy it.
not ready yet
Last season the course was in excellent condition. The greens and fairways were soft. Early in the season with the lack of rain the fairways are firm. The greens were aerated recently and some are very firm and very difficult to putt on. The carts were missing the GPS tablets from last year. Some of the tee boxes were so firm it was tough to find a good spot to get the tee in the ground. Knowing how nice I thought the course was last season I will definitely return, but not for at least a few weeks.
Nice Design
The pin placements should be more identifiable with the proper color flags. The greens were recently airated but the condition of the rest of the course was great. I will play the course again after the greens grow in. Overall it was a great experience for the price.
Aeration
I wish I would have known that they just aerated the greens. They should tell people that fact . Could not get a read on greens due to that fact . Would love to play again in a month or so but feel cheated on this round .
One of the better courses around-
Considering our winter this course was in great shape compared to some others in the area. They are still doing some valve maintenance work but the course looks great. People are very nice went out of their way to be helpful. Fairways are absolutely gorgeous. Highly recommend!
hasn't reach spring Conditions yet
I know that airraiding happens to all golf courses during the April months; but I was surprised when I spoke to a regular player at the course that it was done 2 weeks ago. I'm not trying to compare my regular course to Linfield ; I saw this Monday they airraided the greens ; happen to be in my yard asked a player how the greens looked his words were good ; I mentioned to him they did them Monday of this week he was surprised how great they rolled. I have played Linfield numerous times ; but if I didn't see it on golf now I would of said something to charge $34 with those conditions.
Beautiful day on well mainatined course
Had a great day of golf - course was in excellent condition and I had clear sailing as a single golfer
This course has improved tremendously
A new superintendent has really made improvements to this course. You can get great rates on golfnow.com. Have not tried new indoor facilities yet, but they look awesome.
Good Course - Play it!
I found myself with a bit of time and used the app to book my reservation. I ended up playing 9. The course is clean and nice other than the fact that it was a harsh winter. The ground however was in good shape although the grass has not turned yet. (I guess i can't blame this on anyone other than Mother Nature) I played 9 in about a hour and a half and was slowed at 7 by a foursome. The golfers did not show much situational awareness and seemed oblivious to my prescence. ( again I can't blame this on the club although there was not a ranger or starter around.) Additionally they charged me $6 to practice on the simulator there. I thought this was a good bargain. All you have to do is ask for the simulator and if you have a tee time and they have a simulator available you get a simulator for $6. Again I thought that was a bargain. The staff there is very friendly and Robert, the owner, is an incredibly nice person to talk to. I also hear he is very good at lessons although I have not taken any yet but I intend to. It's a friendly, mildly challenging course in a very beautiful setting. A great bargain at the price.
Impressed and Much Improved!!!
This course has improved very much from the previous years...greens and true and fast. Plus all carts have GPS now. Great conditions. I would highly recommend playing here again if you havent played here for awhile.
