Linfield National Golf Club
About
Linfield National Golf Club is a public course that is one of the area's best values. Formerly known as Sycamore Ridge, the course changed ownership in addition to its name. Since those two major changes, the course boasts better conditions and a renovated clubhouse. The layout has a classic links design that incorporates traditional elements including water, trees, and a variety of elevation changes that range from subtle to dramatic. The up-and-down of the golf course is one of the most challenging elements of the layout. The course is tight with a few adjacent fairways but this configuration also allows for a bit of extra room for recovery shots. Some of the holes at Linfield National Golf Club are quite narrow but it is still possible to hit the green in regulation. Though the course is only 6,164 yards, the rolling terrain will make it seem much longer.

Nice but...
The GPS on the cart worked only intermittently. This cost me a few shots due to blind drives.
Excellent
Excellent conditions,.. Challenging holes
Nice staff with Ana impressive clubhouse
Better
Course was okay. Looking better than the last time I played it a fee years ago
Solid course
Played twice this summer, good course conditions, fairly easy greens, some tight fairways
Good course with variety of different holes
Good course, played there for second time and liked it as well.
They were running a deal due to aeration going on in the course but i was pleasantly surprised with the course conditions.
Pace of play was pretty good, no one behind us :)...
The layout of the holes looks a bit tight but you will enjoy it considering they are different to each other..
Scored 93..which is good for me on that course..could have done better on the front nine..
Fun Layout, conditions getting better
I've played this course dozens of times over the years. The previous owners had really let the conditions of the course decline.
The new owners have clearly made improvements to course and the conditions are getting better. Removing the trees by the left bunker on #11 was a great idea and growing in fescue on the mounds has made the course more picturesque.
The conditions aren't great, but it is not in bad shape at all. It is much better than years past. I'm assuming they are trying to bring the course to a level of Bella Vista or Turtle Creek. If they do this will be one of the best in the area.
We teed off at 1:10 and played the front 9 in 1:45 with no none in front of us. We caught up to a group of ladies at 14 which slowed us down a little but still finished in 4 hours. Rounds can take 4:30-5 hrs. when the course is more crowded.
Best golf course hot dogs too.
Well worth the trip
Good Golf Course- Conditions were above average, given the amount of storms and rain in the few days prior to playing here. Greens were a little slow, but true for putting and receptive to shots. Tee boxes (something I obsess about) were immaculate, and fairways and bunkers were well maintained. The staff is always friendly and helpful.
Getting Better
coure in better shape than it used to be. qorth playing again
Pleasantly surprised
Saw ad on TV for LN. Still looking for the hole they showed in the ad LOL... But the course was in great shape... They need a ranger to stop the people from giving lessons to players ...
Good Condition
The course is in good condition. It has a nice layout. There is no chipping area or range at the course, but other than that it is a nice experience.
Nice Challenge
Overall Linfield is great course... Doesn't have driving range but the first couple of holes are wide open. They just added GPS devices to the carts, nice touch. Layout is not very hard, some dog legs. Good course to play with buddies or solo.
nice course for the money
Nice course for the money. Lots of doglegs make it challenging.Poorly marked yardage markers. One marker 150 yards out. Many courses have 100, 150, and 200. GPS on some carts but they don't all work and the battery went dead on mine. All and all a good value and enjoyable course.
Exceeded Expectations
Following the reviews on Golf Now played here on Sunday afternoon with my son and dad.. Course was in great shape... Not real long ... All holes were unique... Nice fairways and greens .. Not one complaint... Great value ..would definitely recommend .
Awesome deal
great value and the course is in great shape. Got a GPS cart and a round for under $40. Bunkers still being worked on but looking good.
Will Definitely Go Back
I've played this place dozens of times from when it first opened as Sycamore Ridge many years ago. I've seen it at its worst and best. It's looking great now and it's on the up and up I think.
It suffered a rough stint for a few years, but over the last two it has really turned around. I think the new owner bought it two years ago, and he has made all of the right changes - hand cutting greens, tri-plexing fairways, spraying proper chemicals to keep the bugs down, improving drainage, and growing in bunker eyelashes and native grass areas.
They've also done some nice work on the greens. They were rolling between 9.5 and 10.5 when we played on Saturday. Not bad at all for $42 and after a week of rain.
The food and drinks at the bar are solid and inexpensive. They offered some nice tap selections like Victory Hop Devil. It was a great place to watch the Phillies game after our round.
I'll definitely be back!
This place has done a COMPLETE 180!!!
If you haven't been to the Field lately the place has completely turned it around!!! Conditions are fantastic!!!! The last time I was here the place was a dog track!! Tees, greens, and fairways were pristine and they were in the process of renovating many of the aging bunkers. The course is short and tight, but prepare to use all your clubs! All this and a FANTASTIC new indoor simulator center. Use it for a driving range before my round for 6 bucks. No other corse I have been to this year is doing as much as this place. Keep up the good work!!!
Worth the ride
Linfield is a great golf course. Not very renowned for some reason & I can't figure out why. They always have great specials to play and the course is always in good shape.
My friend & I played Monday afternoon around 3PM. We paid $20 and essentially had the whole course to ourselves. We did not wait on a single hole & rarely saw another group. Awesome pace of play. The course has got some challenging holes as well. My personal favorite is the par 5 12th. Blind downhill tee shot with your second across a hazard to a small green with danger all around. The greens & fairways are always in good shape. The rough is tough to hit out of and will eat your ball if you aren't careful. We usually drive roughly 40-45 minutes from Delaware County to play and it is worth the drive. Great course that I enjoy playing several times a season.
nice underrated course
This is a pretty good course. If it was longer, it would definitely be a great course. The rough is pretty gnarly, but that's part of what makes it good, and the green complexes are nice as well. course is nicely maintained and staff is great (friendly)
Good Course for a GolfNow Hot Deal; Interested in Simulators
The Rough, fairways and greens were in decent condition, but the bunkers, in general, were unplayable.
The pace of play was not managed during Sat, early afternoon play. A single group of 4 held up play with no one in front of them for holes. At least 1 rangers could have easily sped up play to a reasonable pace.
The in-door simulators sound interesting, but did not try.
course you think a little bit
course was in very good shape. the rough is difficult not that it is long, just thick and the ball does not sit up. this makes the course a little more challenging than most. nice variety of holes, but not a bombers course except for the last 2 holes.
