Not worth your 6 hours of time
Got told on 17 to hurry up while me and the starter both looked at the green with 4 people on it
Which brings me to another point, we booked 7:39 and got behind a 4some walking. We were third 3 tee time of the day. But Staff assured us they’d be up to speed. After on pace for a 5.5 hr round, I called the started on 10. He shows up on 14, doesn’t seem to really say anything and then yeah comes back on 17 to tell us to speed up while waiting for them to clear
Starter didn’t like it when I asked if we were seeing the same thing.
Slow greens
I play a fair amount of course in the Charlotte area and the greens are among the slowest around. I personally do not like super fast greens either ,but definatley faster that these.

Course in good shape doing nice updates to course along with cart paths

course has made a lot of improvements for the better
fairways a little thin but it is the winter staff was friendly and thanked us for playing
will be back when it warms up
carts were a little suspect as they are old

Love it
Played here since early 90s. Always a fun track, one of my favorites. I can see lots of work to make it better. Wish people would fix their ball marks.

Great Course
Course was great, staff was friendly. The carts were limited so I ended up walking all 18 but it was a great day so I didn’t mind at all. The physical course was in great condition.

Bring a Lunch
I have always enjoyed the layout at this course. The conditions are definitely going in a positive direction. But the slow play and overcrowding at all the municipal courses has gotten out of hand. It seems like most of the novice players are part of the slow play. Also, we did not see one ranger to enforce pace of play. So be prepared and bring lunch because it’s always 4 1/2 to 5 hours.

Decent
Decent course, pace of play was quite slow on a Saturday

Blind Shot Galore
I was just in town visiting and wanted to get out for a round. The best thing about this course was its proximity to my hotel. Unfortunately, the experience itself was underwhelming.
The pace of play on the front nine was painfully slow, though it did pick up on the back after the group ahead stopped for lunch. Course conditions left a lot to be desired: the greens were inconsistent and littered with divots, while the fairways were only in decent shape at best.
The layout was frustrating. From the tips, most flagsticks weren’t visible, making it nearly impossible to know where to aim without 18Birdies. There were at least eight blind tee shots, which felt more gimmicky than challenging.
On the positive side, the staff were friendly, and we got paired with two solid guys who helped keep things moving. I don’t regret giving it a try, but it’s not a course I’d go out of my way to play again.
Great course for the price
I play here often and it’s a great course. Not too hard and pretty wide open and pretty nice greens but a little slow. Very easy to shoot a low score and drivable par 4s.
What a drastic turn around for the good. It has been several years since I played here last. The greens were in really good shape (very slow) but in amazing shape. Cart paths are so much better. I still had my kidneys after the round. Would definitely recommend to go check this course out. Great value for what you get.
