The Inn At Pocono Manor - East Course
About
The Inn at Pocono Manor offers two championship golf courses, conveniently located less than two hours from New York, New Jersey, and Philadelphia. Surrounded by the beauty of the Poconos, the inn has earned a spot on the National Registry of Historic Places. George Fazio designed the West Course, and the East Course was Donald Ross' creation. The East Course, the original layout, has hosted a number of legendary players, including Arnold Palmer and Sam Snead, since 1912. Ross carefully sculpted the mountainous landscape to create a course that is both challenging and memorable. It is shorter and tighter than the other course but they are equal in level of difficulty. The golf course is defined by the interesting water hazards that come into play on several holes, but the scenic views are also a draw.

Our GoTo
Very nice course, driving range, and the staff is informed and very helpful. If you are undecided, just go! You will be glad for your experience.
Wet, wet wet
The course was extremely wet and very difficult to play on. The greens were not well kept. I played here before and enjoyed it, but not this round.
Greens needed attention
Generally needed grounds keepers attention. Good course and good price but far behind area courses in grounds keeping.
Very Wet
Do to heavy rains the day before the course was very wet and in some spots under water. This was no fault of the maintenance but the weather. I played this course 20 years ago before moving south and now that I'm back I still enjoy playing it.
Lost balls course
It's our first time play at this course, it's somewhat challenging course, some hole that you can't see the green when you tee. Should be nice in summer time.
First round of the year
We have played Pocono Manor for years. I enjoy the experience each and every time we have played. The staff is terrific.
Pocono Golfers
This coarse is great. Even if the greens look wet---they are fast.
We play here often and always enjoy it.-The staff is friendly and courteous, we would recommend this coarse .
Great Course for Reasonable $
Friendly staff, Great course conditions, Well maintained! Will golf again!!!
Sweet little course
A little quirky, but I really enjoyed it. I would have liked to play it again, but our golf week was over. Get the sheet from the clubhouse that describes how to best play each hole -- if you've never played the course, you'll need it on at least a couple of the holes (like the first par 3).
If/when I get to golf in the Poconos again, this course is definitely on my list.
The restaurant was closed for a private function, so I can't comment on it.
Nice layout
I like this course and try to get there 3 or 4 times a year. For a mountain course there are not excessive slanted lies. And the layout keeps errant golf balls from flying onto your space. Greens are rather fast and kinda small. But the starter and staff are very easy going and the pace there is definitely laid back. Just a fun place to golf.
Wonderful round
This course was a delight and a challenge from what we are used to. Surprises abound at each new hole and we enjoyed the creative layout. Rain caught us on hole 14 and along with the chilly breeze that made the final holes even tougher. With the exception of some rocky bunkers, we could not find a single thing to improve. We look forward to playing again!
