Great Fall conditions
Play here several times a year. Was a little concerned about leaves for a November round, as they have been a problem at some courses. Honey Run had done a great job of clearing the leaves. None in most of the fairways and few in the rough areas. Bunker conditions were among the best of the courses played this year. Greens were in great shape.
The layout is moderately challenging with some longish par 3 and 4's. There are five sets of tees (we seniors used III) so you can suit the length to your game. The first five holes are relatively tough and I'd rate only five holes overall as easy.

Fall golf at its finest
Played here for the second time this season. Gorgeous day to play. Teed off just before 2 pm. Caught a group on the 7th hole, they only played 9. Didn’t have anyone in front of us the rest of the day. The bunkers were some of the best I’ve played in the area this year. I was in a few and each one had fluffy sand instead of your typical baseball gravel.
Always Good
Played right during aeration. Had the course to ourselves basically and had to play the front nine twice. They were working on the back. Greens were in good condition, sanded, rolled and extra fast, the way I like them. Honey Run is always a good play.
Fun Round
I hadn’t played here in a couple years. It seems to have made good improvements since then. The greens are very nice although mostly flat. Nice layout and some fun holes. Overall, I will definitely be back. A great value for sure .
Great experience
Great experience from online reservation to arriving, warming up on the range, playing, finding one’s way around the course, and interacting with staff on the course and in the pro shop and restaurant. Will be back.

Great Layout
HoneyRun is a terrific layout - very friendly staff ... good 'home made' food at the restaurant ...
Course does not get a lot of play so pace is usually pretty good.
Some really interesting holes -- no boring one. You'll use most clubs in your bag.
worth the drive from Baltimore
great value versus Baltimore courses...definitely worth the drive!
Pleasant Ride - Not Spoiled
Honey Run is not the easiest course to find but you owe it to yourself to seek it out. Very solid, classic design - no trickery. Course conditions were excellent - esp considering the severe rain they had earilier in the week.
The food / beverage is a little limited but prices are very good.
