The course was in great condition! I would highly recommend Cranston CC to anyone looking to play a round.
Campground Gang
Our group had a great time, the course was in very good shape, only one green was bad, fairways and rough were all in good shape very few brown/burnt spots. services was great. Good value bought on "Golf Now" on a HOT deal
Island hole
Would have been a lot pretty but it hasn’t rained much around here as you can tell from them number of lost balls on there banks Of the water holes. Otherwise was a very challenging back nine . No beer girl and nobody around in restaurant but besides that nice layout

What a track! Played 18 in 4.25 hours, players and staff are friendly.
Grip it and rip it on most holes! Greens rolled naturally fast, with a whole bunch of divots, why... tisk tisk tisk.
Good cut of roughs, two levels. Fairways also ran out, making the drive and wedge come into play. When i make one bridie I'm happy. Again, 31 cents a stroke, making it worth taking a day off (a day of golf is better than working no matter the cost).

Nice course. Rough is very thick in many areas. I wish there was a tee that was between the white and silver. White plays a bit long for me and the silvers are too short.
Great Layout
Course was well designed. Unfortunately all the greens were Velcro like slow. Some had extensive mold damage. Pace of play was very slow. Would like to play course again if greens are cut properly.

Not many par 5’s . Some par 4’s were long. Beautiful course. Go play
They're having a rough time with their greens
I love this course. It's a great layout, fairways tee boxes rough are always decent. The greens the past couple of years have been almost unplayable. I'm not sure how they can remedy this problem but this is a deal breaker for me. The greens are so damaged and slow!!!

Decent Course but could use some maintenance
Overall the course was decent.. Maybe a hair over priced for the quality, but I had fun and the pace of play was decent for a Sunday. The fairway and some of the greens really need some repair - dead spots galore which affected putts. However, the course was on the soft side which was pleasant. I would play again, but probably not at the full price tee times,

Fantastic layout...poor condition
Cranston CC has been a Rhode Island gem for years. Unfortunately, this is not one of their years. The course is in poor condition. The gentleman at the pro shop was quite pleasant. The range balls I payed for were deplorable. Some had CHUNKS missing! Total waste of time. I then proceeded to the putting green. That's when I knew trouble was on the horizon. The green was spectacularly slow. Sometimes , the practice facility in is not indicative of course conditions. Wrong.....the course was worse! Most fairways are below average. The greens are in horrific shape with dead patches on a fair number of them. Pace of play was poor. I never saw a single course maintenance employee during my 6 hour adventure. I truly hope Cranston regains her standing among the top RI public courses to play...at this point, she looks beaten down and tired.

Slow and bumpy greens
We joined another twosome to play this course. The tee boxes and Fairways where in okay condition,but the greens were very slow and bumpy.Just about every putt took a hop which is never good.#7 green is in bad shape.Cart girl came around often but the best part of the day was meeting the other twosome and having a few laughs.Expected better golf conditions being a Country Club but unfortunately did not live up to expectations.

Terrible conditions
Course in terrible shape most notably the greens and tee boxes. 7th green basically unplayable. Greens extremely slow for a Saturday and needed to be cut and rolled. Greens keeper would turn water on for 5 minutes between groups to further slow down greens. Only play there a few times a year and won’t be coming back Extremely disappointing Golf experience for the money. Too many far superior courses to play.

Cranston CC
2nd time playing here this season. 1st time course was in great shape late june. 2nd time was mid August course was in ok shape due to hot dry summer , still play good greens were average and 7th green in tough shape but got a good deal on tee off so was happy with price and condition hoping it get some rain and hopefully 7th green can recover. Love the 8th hole par 3 island green ,hope to get here at least 1more time this season
Greens inconsistent and slow play
The fairways and tees are in great shape but the greens are horrible. Completely inconsistent and bumpy. The 7th green is just a disaster with dead spots all over the green. My putt bounced all the way to the cup. Play was extremely slow and was the previous time as well. Need to spread the tee offs by 10 minutes.

Rushed
Played at a reasonable pace, layout was great, greens were subpar. We did not enjoy having a guy who works for the club follow us around the course for the first 4 holes at 6am!

Nice
Pretty good shape. Couple dry spots here and there but with the weather we’ve been having can’t complain. Big storm night prior, and they had full crew out trying to clean it up. Will book again
