Course in Great Shape!!
Agawam Hunt Golf Club is an excellent course for any type of golfer. The course itself was in beautiful condition. The pace of play was consistent and there was never a wait on any shot or hole. The staff was friendly and the day was great!
Had eight o clock t time. We were first group out for day. Next group was three holes behind the whole round. Plenty of challenge for all
I said I'd be back
As you can see in the review I did last year for Agawam Hunt I said I'd be back and this was the day. My buddy and I are playing in a fourball tournament here in mid-July and I told he that he needs to play the course before the tournament. Once again Agawam Hunt did not disappoint. The layout is really fantastic and constantly changing. The course on one side of the street is totally different than the other. On the clubhouse side you don't see a ton of elevation changes and the course is a little tighter than the other side and has a lot more water. When you cross over, I believe it is after the seventh hole, you will see vast elevation changes and a much more open course. The great equalizers at Agawam Hunt are the very quick greens and the fescue that lines every hole. If you get the chance to play here take it, this is one of the best Ross layouts I have played and my playing partner was really happy that he got the chance to see the layout before we play it for real next month.
Elite
This course is always worth the money. The 8 am tee time usually will have you done in 3 hours and you will feel as though your the only one on the course. The course is beautifully maintained and the greens are some of the best non-private in the state. The layout is challenging and don’t assume you will use driver off the tee. Many doglegs, elevation changes, and hazards make every shot unique. With that being said, it is very reasonable. Hole numbers 3 and 6 are very reachable par 5s, along with some shorter par 4s like holes number 7 and 15. Mark in the pro-shop is extremely friendly and will do everything he can to ensure you have a great round. Highly recommend this course!
Always a great day.
Never a bad experience when I play here. The rough is brutally tough in most areas. Hit it straight or pay the consequences. 5 stars from me. I'll be back.

Thank you for the 4 stars! We hope to have you back soon.
Sunday Golf
We were surprised to learn the practice tees and food service were members only. Putting green was available but nothing beyond that. Beverages and snacks were available via a cart service that appeared often. Course is not marked with yardage and carts do not have GPS. Greens were in excellent condition, rest was average. Women's tee boxes were less than average. Kind of rough for a private course.

Hello, Chris. Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are sorry to see that your overall experience was anything short of 5 stars, but we hope you'll give us another try in the near future.
Great start to a Wisconsinite’s golf trip
Came in from Wisconsin and loved the course. Course played tough, with the greens proving to be the most difficult part. Norm was a gem, and welcomed us on a crisp and sunny Friday morning. Would recommend this course to anyone interested in playing a Donald Ross course.
Great track
Great Staff
Great history and course layout, the course is not tricked up. What you see is what you get. Very few blind shots which is great for first time play. Tee boxes and greens were sanded so I can not rate them, but the greens rolled very good and true even punched. Fairways are in perfect condition, lots of grass and very little roll out due damp conditions. Well the rough is thick and tough to hit from, definitely a penalty, as it should be on a shorter course. This course is a definite must play.
Private Country Club with Limited Public Access
This is a classic private country club with a Donald Ross Design. Course is always in great shape. The pro shop staff, Norm and Tom treat you like a member. They are super friendly and helpful, they drive the cart to your car and load your clubs. I’ve enjoyed it so much I’ve played it several times over the summer. Norm gave me a tour of the facilities and I am considering joining here next year. I would recommend you give it a try.
Beautiful classic course
This is a great course with a beautiful layout. Greens are challenging but fun.
Good price, but course needs some work
Booked the course midweek for a Sunday morning round. Little tricky to find the clubhouse on the street, but found it. Clubhouse attendant was very nice and paired us with another Hot Deal pair. We split off after the first hole and played as 2. Some fairways and tee boxes needed work, but otherwise course was in good shape. Played at our own pace with nobody behind us. No real amenities at the course besides a soda machine and a pop up grill. Also the 18th fairway also doubles as their "driving range." It's a private course that opens to members. Good bargain for a weekend round of golf in late fall.
Wet after heavy rains for couple days but great layout
Greens were awesome, loved the layout and driving through a garage to get to other part of course. (6 holes across the street) the other part of the course which used to be metacomet were a great layout by themselves. I would definitely recommend
