Nice Course
Really fun Course because of the variations of hole configurations. Greens were in great shape. Fairways very playable. It’s a challenging course to maintain. Many of the cart paths need repair and redirecting. If golfers will stop parking right next to paths around the greens there would be less bare areas. The Trackman Driving Range is incredible w outdoor furniture for groups to enjoy hanging out while hitting on the range.
Great Value
Don't get out much but since finding this place have gone 3 weeks in a row with parties of 4, 6 , 5. The range is incredible, greens par or above, but what gets us back is 9 holes for $16 w cart on a course that could be $28. X 4, 5 or 6 and paying for all that is big.
Love this course
They are always on top of keeping the course in great shape. The staff is always friendly and does their best to make sure you are taken care of. I’ve played here a handful of times over the past couple of months and have never been let down. Highly considering becoming a member.
Beautiful
Course is well maintained. Staff was courteous and friendly. Would like to play 18 next time in town.
Did you happen to find a golf bag cover in the back of the cart that day?
Great deal
Played yesterday. Course was in great shape. Great risk reward architecture. Par 3s are very challenging. Pro shop staff was excellent. Highly recommend
Double booked tee times
We were 45 minutes late teeing off due to tee times being double booked. The owner knows this and does not care. We waited on every shot and the group behind us called and complained we were slow playing. The round took 4.5 hours for a group with a combined handicap of 11.
It was good to see more staff working to stabilize the work load. Course and staff were great, as they were embarrassed of the delayed tee times.
The cause of this is due the course tee times are not integrated with golf now and it double books the course. The owner is aware and allows this due to incoming $ at a double rate.
No More Walking
We learned this Saturday that they are no longer allowing players to walk this course.... which sounds insane but we have them the benefit of the doubt since we were hopeful this would mean the pace would be improved. There were multiple 6-8 person groups on the course ahead of us and no rangers to enforce pace. We had 3 and it took us 5 hours for 18 holes. Have been playing this course for a few years but will likely knock it out of the rotation. The trackman is cool though, management also is pretty useless.
Go for the Trackman!
Poor customer service. Showed up at check in and was told they just aerated the front 9 and doing the back 9 as I arrived so you have to play the front 9 twice. Was told because I booked on GolfNow I had to take it or leave it. No rain check to come back and play the whole 18 in a couple of weeks to allow the greens to fill in. Nothing on their website saying it was just aerated either. Playing Pebble on the Trackman at the driving range was the best part of this place even though the range balls are at least 10 years old.
Trackman Is pretty much useless unless a Range uses Titleist RCT balls with reflective film interior. And when using various brands of used balls your data will be very inconsistent. Studies have shown that even when a range uses standard range balls of the same brand & age the shot data is still 60% inaccurate.
Hello, there's no reason we couldn't have given you a rain check. Please email us at clubatbrookstone@gmail.com and we'll be happy to give you one. As for the aeration notice, if you called us we told everyone we were aerating and if you go to book your tee time on the site then in that booking widget there's a notice as well. Unfortunately GolfNow does not give us any opportunity to notify you and we don't have your contact information to let you know. Anyways, again please reach out and we'll be happy to comp your next round. Thank you!
Fun track in Anderson
Fun course. Played as a single on a Wednesday and had a great time. Started around 4:20 and was done with 18 by 7:35.
It did seem to stack up a bit at the boxes when I was making the turn. Carts are helpful for course layout and yardages. Course layout is a blast with good grass in the fairways and rough. Green were recently sanded and aerated but seem to be recovering well.
It’s a bit of a wide gap between the white and blue tee boxes. But overall enjoyed the course and the good vibes of Brookstone.
Decent
Course is in good shape, but we got stuck behind three groups who had apparently never played before and it seems that at least one or two groups had just skipped tee times and gone off. Made for a miserably slow first 9 and it's the type of thing that keeps people from playing your course again. Need a starter.
Château Élan Stay & Play Golf Package
We do apologize for this and we're not sure why the clubhouse told you that you can't walk. Walking is permitted even on sold out Saturdays like this one, so long as you keep pace with the group in front of you. As for pace, we do closely monitor and manage pace. If you did not see someone doing this, it is because you and the groups around you were not the problem. We only rush along groups that are slowing everyone up, so odds are it was a group well in front you. While we try to get groups to finish in 4 hours or less, as you get later into prime-time weekend days, more and more amateur players are on the course. Unfortunately we cannot hit the ball for them. If a speedy round is a priority for you, then we suggest playing earlier in the day. Our early morning tee times average 3 hours and 30 minutes for a foursome and even less for smaller groups. We hope to see you again!
