The Club at Brookstone

It is ok. It could be much better. You have to navigate through the sloped fairways that are a little too hard. Fast greens, tricky to find the right line .from the tee box a good shot can result into a lost ball. ! Nice people and good beer...

My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary. We both play golf very regularly. She’s a little newer to the game but I’ve been playing a while with about an 8 handicap. Anyway, this was our first time playing this course as we were passing through the area on our way back from vacation. Staff was friendly and we were excited to try out the Finn scooters they had to offer. We were on the first tee waiting for a group of 6 to tee off. (Not excited about that) There was another twosome behind us waiting so we decided to pair up knowing it was going to be a long day. They were great and a lot of fun to play with. The course is very hilly as expected for the area. The layout combined with the dry conditions, the greens didn’t hold shots very well and neither did the fairways. Not many viable landing spots to be found on a lot of the fairways. Ground was really hard. Had to break tees to get the tee low enough on tee box to hit most shots, even when teeing for my driver. Long story short, we did have fun and I do think it was mainly because of the scooters and the fact you could pretty much go anywhere with them even up next to the green. If we hadn’t done the scooters it would have been a long day of walking up and down some pretty steep hills looking for balls you were sure would be in the middle of fairway only to find out they rolled in the water or woods. Course has potential but needs to be modified a bit to make it a little more enjoyable. Scooters stole the show.

Very well laid out, smooth transition from one campus tonthe next. It was my first time playing this course and I was afraid I might get mixed up but everything was direct and deliberate in the design. Loved it!

course booked more tee times than they had carts. was good other than that

I’ve played Brookstone several times over the years and they are making some changes that will make things better but right now it’s still a luck of the bounce kinda place. Several of the new bunkers have a ton of sand in them and if the ball ends up on the upslope, good luck! The fairway grass is thin and in some holes a great drive down the middle will get you into trouble with the roll. Greens are hard but roll true.

This course is a challenge, but extremely fun!

They have motorcycle golf carts, but we didn’t get one. Next time and there will be a next time

I had a tee time for 2 on the 15th. I arrived about 20 minutes before I was set to tee off. I was told that they were about 30 minutes behind on carts so they gave me some range balls while I waited. It took me about 40 minutes to get through the range balls So now I’m 20 minutes past my tee time. I go back to Check on a cart and I’m told now they’re an hour behind… It was almost exactly an hour that I got my cart and still had to wait to tee off. They had over 200 golfers booked with only 44 carts… they booked every slot as a foursome so I was paired with two other people. He was way overcrowded and I felt like I was not able to play at the pace I was comfortable with because of being paired with two people that I didn’t know. I played there before and have had any problems but this time I was pretty disappointed.

Really challenging course. If you don’t hit a perfect shot into the greens, you get penalized. The ball will roll off the green and down an embankment.

Earlier in season. Some bunkers were under repair. Many tee boxes had little grass. Fairways were thin.

Green were in good shape. I would give the course another try later in the year. Definitely need to know the course to score.

Need improvements around the course, need less rocks

I really like this course and will keep coming back. I think the layout is very good. The greens are very firm and quick. Overall the place is in great shape. It is a challenging round every time I go.

Lots of wet areas and slow greens.

Course is a shot placement course and I am not that good to hit my target a lot.
