Definitely need a ranger to keep pace of play. Was behind a group that did more fishing for golf balls ( not sure it was theirs ) than playing golf. They knew we waiting because they waved at us. Course was in better shape than the last time we played almost a year ago. Pro shop very friendly as was the starter.. like to play here at least once a year. Greens were in good shape ( had heard they had issues) - only saw maybe one green where work had been done but it was totally fine. Love to see course have a game warden to check golfers fishing for golf ball licenses. Other than that craziness it was an OK round. Will go back next year as usual.
Great Choice
A friend and I were in the area with family and wanted to get in a round. We choose Links o'Tryon based on a few recommendations online and the proximity to where we were staying. What a great choice! For the value and the layout, you couldn't ask for better. The conditions were very good, with a little more TLC they could have been excellent. I would highly recommend this course if you are in the area.
Great Course, Great Deal
This course is well taken care of. They are still doing work to make it better. It is constantly on the hot deals, one of my favorite places to play for my buck.
Nice people, nice carts, nice new cart paths, nice fairways, nice greens, and an overall nice course.
Layout was great
I love the layout of this golf course played well I have not played it in years I don't remember being this nice
A little bit of heaven
Love this course. Wide fairways beautiful course. Buffet is one of the best I ever experienced anywhere.

GOOD COURSE WE WENT OUT AT 8:30 AND FINISHED AT 12:20
Overall good
Fairways still emerging from winter dormancy but still not bad. Greens rolled nice but were hard and did not hold shots unless unless brought in very high. Course is a little rough around the edges but was more than worth the hot deal rate. Fun day and friendly staff.
Fun course
The green and tee boxes have a little remaining winter “wear”, but the course is in overall good shape. The course is a great layout with a lot of variety in looks and shots. Next time we are in the area we will play again.
