Layout was great
I love the layout of this golf course played well I have not played it in years I don't remember being this nice
A little bit of heaven
Love this course. Wide fairways beautiful course. Buffet is one of the best I ever experienced anywhere.
A beautiful day some good some great,then some in between
GOOD COURSE WE WENT OUT AT 8:30 AND FINISHED AT 12:20
Overall good
Fairways still emerging from winter dormancy but still not bad. Greens rolled nice but were hard and did not hold shots unless unless brought in very high. Course is a little rough around the edges but was more than worth the hot deal rate. Fun day and friendly staff.
Fun course
The green and tee boxes have a little remaining winter “wear”, but the course is in overall good shape. The course is a great layout with a lot of variety in looks and shots. Next time we are in the area we will play again.
Great course to enjoy a fun round of golf
I really enjoy this course and the condition. The greens were very nice for the most part. Have to play it several times to know where not to hit the ball to avoid the hills and penalties. Hole #2 has a double tier green (the greens are usually fast, but not a billiard table fast) with a sand trap at the front, so you need to hit a high shot to stay on the green. Hole #5 is a dog leg and a green that you need to be short of the green to stay on the green. Just off the green it slopes severely down to the woods, so that is why you play short of the green 5-10 yard and let the ball roll onto the green. Hole #7 is a par 3 that you will be in the woods if you were long or to the right just off the green. Play for the center or right side of the green. Hole #10 has a big slope to the pond in front of the green. Many times, your second shot is a downhill lie to the green, which I hate. Anyway, it is a great course once you play it a couple times.
Great links course
Great place to play and in good condition. The only thing was that the greens were a bit slow for my liking.
Greens Away
Have played many times for last 20 years. Good layout with serene mountain views. Course is in good shape except for the greens and hitting zone on the range. Greens are not rolling smooth, with some areas of dead(I know they are working on it), and some previous hole plugs not flush on surface and smoothed out.
Range needs some? grass to hit off instead of sand.
Fun course with some challenges
Played this course over 20+ times - fairways still a bit dormant but greens in good shape
Great deal - paid only $12 + cost of gas from Asheville
Not busy so I played solo & was able to play several shots on many holes
Played rd in about 3 hours even with extra shots & putts
Greens and tee boxes need a lot of work
The tee boxes are mostly dirt. Very little grass on any of them. The greens are bumpy and slow. Some greens have large bare spots on them.
I like the links style layout but the tees and greens need a lot of work.
War Zone on the Greens
Great layout and usually Fun to play but Greens have been UNKEPT AND VERY UGLY!
