Links O'Tryon

This is a fun course to play. I played on a damp, cloudy day but the course was still very playable. It also has some very nice mountain views. The course itself has some humps and bumps like a Scottish
track. The fairways have playable doglegs and the greens are an undulating mix. The tee choice lets you bite off as much as you can chew. I would recommend this course to all levels of abilities. There are other local courses like Village Greens in Gramling/Inman SC and Cherokee Valley in Tigerville SC not far from Links O' Tryon that are fun to play also. These are approximately 20 mins. apart.

Beautiful setting; can see mountains in the distance. Rolling hills and fairways. Front nine greens were not in good shape; could be result of last summer's conditions? Back nine in better condition. Balls hit very hard and would bounce, roll, etc. off greens; but then grass growth a little behind in the season. Best chicken salad sandwich and staff very friendly.

Several holes very demanding but fair. Greens were in rough shape. Fairways clean. Overal I like the course and will play again.

Links o Tryon is a very nice course. I actually shot a 79 which is about 5 strokes below my average. I was hot that day -- not saying that the course is easy. It does have some pretty challenging holes. It will be beautiful in a few weeks when everything is in bloom.

Very challenging and fun course to play - great setting and gorgeous clubhouse. Staff is VERY friendly and helpful. Don't miss this wonderful course!

The worst condition of a golf course-- T-boxes, cart paths, bunkers and greens that I have ever played!!! I have never seen a course in such disrepair. PERIOD, that was still open.

This course is in great shape for late winter. Even though the Bermuda is still dormant the course has almost no weeds. It's in great shape for the time of year.

A course that allows you to use every club in your bag. A great value cost-wise. Definitely a hidden gem and a great location from north or south carolina.

This probably my favorite public course in the Spartanburg area. Good opportunities for scoring on the front. A really tough stretch of holes on the back (couldn't use driver until #14) and a fun set of finishing holes. It's always in good condition and well worth the money.

the greens were in bad shape they had spots that did not have any grass.

This course has a nice layout. Could be a great course if they would fix the greens and bunkers. They need a lot of work and have for a very long time. Price is way to high for the condition it's in.

I thoroughly enjoyed playing this course. The staff was friendly and helpful. The fairways and tee box areas were in great shape. The greens and traps however need work. But overall I enjoyed playing the course and will play it again.

Tee to green the course was well maintained. The greens though needed much work. Alot of dead spots. Still alot of fun.

The day we played was very slow (4 1/2+ hours) due to one foursome; did not see marshall or attempt to help speed pace

The drive is very picturesque right now, and the course is equally scenic. Nice course, Wide up fairways, but don't let the course sucker you in. The greens rolled true and you can score well on this course as long as you are straight and true. While worth the drive north for the money. Course is laser friendly

I have always liked the Links O'Tyron, and enjoyed the layout again today. The conditions tee to green were very good, but the conditions of the greens was poor at best. There is lots of dead and damaged spots, very inconsistant speed from green to green, and NO SAND IN THE BUNKERS AT ALL!!!
This was a good value for the price on Golf now, but would not go back for regular price until they do some work.

Great course. Very challenging course pace of play was slow but it was the first warm day in several weeks great value
