First Time at White Plains
An early winter morning, so leaves were still being blown from fairways as I started my round. But other than harder so spot golf balls everything went well. Staff and other players were helpful and friendly to a first timer. All went well and i enjoyed the round. Thanks
Fun Layout
This is a fun, old-school track that is typically in good condition. Pace of play was excellent as I was able to play 45 holes in 6 hrs. Only complaint is limited practice facility. Will definitely go back.
I have played this course multiple times this year. It’s a little gem. Nice greens good fair ways and has a few challenges.
Handicapped
Nice, a little out of the way for most people to come.
Fun course
White Plains is a fun course to play. I didn’t play well, but the course and staff made this a good time. The only downsides for me were the distance from home (45 minute drive) and the condition of the cart paths (tree roots have made them a mess in spots). Nonetheless, I’ll play White Plains again because the good far outweighs the not so good!
Good Value ... But You Get What You Pay For
I played on a Friday afternoon for $17, and I played the entire 18 holes in 2 hours, 35 minutes ... so I'm not gonna complain much. The greens were in quite good shape, and the traps I hit into were fine.
But many tee boxes were ragged, the cart paths were jarring to drive on, and the course overall needed a little more love. One of my pet peeves for some courses rang true here: I often didn't know how far I had to the hole, as fairways and par-3 tee boxes were poorly marked.
Overall, for the money, it was a good place to have a cheap round and work on the game. It took me 50 minutes to get there from Matthews, and 50 more to get home, so I'm glad the course was so empty and my round was so quick!
Great Country Course
My friends and I love White Plains in Pageland. Can’t beat the value and the speed at which you can play. Course isn’t perfect, but all the greens are in great shape. A few tee boxes and fairways could use some love, but for the money, I wouldn’t play anywhere else.
Golf guy
Greens are perfect, plays long for the average golfer,
Git R Done
Just a good ol’ Lil course that has stayed alive through the tough times. It’s not a 5 star Country Club but it’s a “Country Club “. I like it because I can get a round in and not break the bank yet have a good time.
