Monroe Country Club

•Aeration is July 8th & 9th. Greens were already in good shape. I can only imagine they’ll be stellar, in a month.

•Heat index was 101; water coolers were after 4, 6, 12, and 16.

•Getting to the 9th tee, we could see about six carts lined up at the first tee box. Pace of play was fine for us but likely slow as the day heated up. Beverage cart was moving the whole day and multiple rangers were out

Nice wide forgiving fairways. Beautifully laid out course. Just wish they had a better driving range closer to the first hole.

Monroe hands down is one of the best courses around for your money. You always know what to expect with the fast greens. But this particular day without warning we were on a PGA course setup. The pin placements were setup for a tournament. So they paid for this torture. My group was not the only ones that went all Scottie Scheffler. There were other golfers that had the same experience.

Tight tree lined fairways, deep bunkers, domed greens heavily guarded. It's all you can eat 😬⛳

Was paired up with a fun group, played well. Pace of play was great. Staff was excellent

Course is in good shape considering the drought. Pace of play was surprisingly good for a Sunday afternoon.

I would not recommend this golf course. The fact that the driving range is a 15-20 min golf cart ride through the woods with poor directions from staff. The golf course is laid out in very open space, and at least ten golfer’s balls landed on the fairway, green or tee box which makes it a distraction for yourself and others. This is especially a safety concern. Lastly the racist golf club member/customer while playing made the day even worse.

Fairways and roughs improving from winter conditions. Sand traps still hard packed. Greens rolled true, were medium fast speed, and some held the approach shot. Made for a challenging round.
