About
This is a well-conceived, challenging, yet playable course, with a good reputation among local golfers.
Water comes into play on quite a few holes. The fairways are relatively wide, but it will help to play your shot carefully. A few bunkers lurk in the fairways, ready to create trouble. There are also some greens that require well-placed shots over water from uneven lies. Overall, this is a well thought out, fun and thoroughly worthwhile course.
Peter Tufts, (the gentleman who designed the course), was the godson of Donald Ross and the Ross influence is obvious throughout.

Great Value!
Good layout with very good fairways and greens. Course has done better job of growing fairways in than more expensive courses in the Pinehurst area. Greens (miniverde) putt well. Course has elevation changes and presents some challenges. Course is in significantly better condition than Talamore or Legacy and the green fees today were only $35. Fun course. Along with Pine Needles, this course was my favorite on a recent visit and is a much better economical choice than most other courses in the area. Pace of play could have been better.
A Fun Day
Playing on a Sunday afternoon, I was not sure what to expect but the course was wide open. The fairways, tee boxes, and greens were in great shape ... much better than anywhere else I've played recently. There are plenty of elevation changes and fairway bunkers that seemed to be right where I didn't like them to be ... :-)
I enjoyed the day thoroughly and would go back here again in a heartbeat.

Great course - members played ridiculously slow!
Absolutely loved the course, but having a group on members, including a 5-some playing right in front of us, playing terribly slow made it a challenging round. I would most likely return, but would encourage the staff and starter to ensure pace of play is moving along.
Great course
My son and I had a great time. Course was in great shape. Greens were very nice. Unfortunately not everyone repaired their ball marks.We will definitely play this one again
Great Value for the Money
This is my favorite course in the entire Pinehurst area. Being a local, I have played them all. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. The course is tough, but fair with great fairways and fast, smooth greens. It is always in great condition no matter what the weather. Pace of play is good and fair. There are several water hazards, but well marked. There are several elevation changes which create challenges. Best finishing hole in the area.

Best kept secret in the Pinehurst area
I have played here several times since first discovering it in the Fall of 2013. The course has always been in tremendous shape. The greens are as smooth and true as you will find and are way faster than average which I love. The course is absolutely beautiful with a number of tee shots and views that make you just pause to appreciate them. My only knock would be that the half way house is almost never open. However, I have called and the club has been happy to run me out a few beers and snacks which brings me to the point that the staff is as friendly as I have ever seen. They all seem to genuinely love beig around the game and doing whatever they can to make your experience better.
Great value
The course conditions were great. It was an excellent value and I would not hesitate to play this course again.
VERY NICE GOLF COURSE
A lot of golf enjoying when you play this course. The only down is lack of refreshments cart and after hole number 9 no chance to reach any type of clubhouse for drinks or food. The course is wonderful to play from black or blue marks.
Favorite course!
This is a favorite course of mine whenever I'm visiting the area. I enjoy the layout, the variety of holes, the beautiful scenery, and the immaculate condition the course is always kept in. It' said great bargain, too.
Nice challenge
Very nice round of golf with very hot conditions but plenty of shade to park cart under. Good challenge with water carries
Best Value Course In Area
We arrived after leaving the US Open in the
late afternoon. Chris (head pro) was extremely
accommodating as I found out on the phone on
a prior day. The entire staff was very friendly and
inviting. Course conditions were the best I've seen
this year. Fantastic bent grass greens. Were very few players on the course. Good layout, fun and challenging. Each fairway is right in front of you,
as were the greens, and several well placed bunkers.
A must play when in the Pinehurst area !
Pinehurst Gem
Found the course while attending US Open, booked two threesomes and when we arrived were told that our 4 junior players...ages 12-17 were comped!
This included the cart fees!
The course was is very good condition with Bentgrass greens...very playable for all levels and one heck of a buy!
Very nice course for a great price!
I took my two sons there after the Monday practice round off the US Open. We had a great time. THe course was in very good shape, fun and challenging. THe price was great annd the staff very accomidating. Well worth the stop.

Wonderful Course
Simply put, this course is amazing. There are some very interesting hole layouts and the course conditions themselves were outstanding. The staff was very friendly and the greens were in great shape. The greens were not quite as fast as I was lead to believe, but definitely not slow at all. We had a wonderful time and will definitely come back again!
