Rating 74.1

This is a well-conceived, challenging, yet playable course, with a good reputation among local golfers.

Water comes into play on quite a few holes. The fairways are relatively wide, but it will help to play your shot carefully. A few bunkers lurk in the fairways, ready to create trouble. There are also some greens that require well-placed shots over water from uneven lies. Overall, this is a well thought out, fun and thoroughly worthwhile course.

Peter Tufts, (the gentleman who designed the course), was the godson of Donald Ross and the Ross influence is obvious throughout.

Slow golf

5 hours to play due to about 5 groups of women ahead of us with tedious pace of play.

Course is in great shape with fast pace to greens and nice fairways.

Number 9 does not come back to club house so stock up with goodies and liquids before you tee off.

There are plenty of bathrooms and port a Johns.

Restaurant serves tasty food with speedy service. A free beverage is included with each round of golf.

The rating would have been higher but for the pace of play.

Unfriendly from the start

I booked a tee time for my son and I while in town for the US Open. Booked it via Golf Now and got confirmation email etc. When we arrived at the course to check in the golf shop employee questioned our tee time even though I showed him our confirmation. He blamed it on Golf Now. We were able to play at our scheduled time. Then the starter questioned whether or not we had a tee time even though I showed him the receipt. Once we began our round the course was in terrible shape. For the money we paid it was a huge letdown. Avoid this course when in the Pinehurst area.

Eight-some

Course was in good condition. The ranger did his best but 8 golfers kept regrouping for an "8some".

Evidently the owners don't care. Won't be back!

7 Lakes Play

We enjoyed our round at 7-Lakes. Loved playing the hilly fairways and elevated tee boxes. Would definitely recommend to a friend. The only negative was the condition of the cart path. A little rough in several spots.

Packed party

I go to play golf. If allowing large groups of partying drunks is the norm me and my money won't be back. 6hrs 45 minutes play time. Miserable

Seven Lakes

Terrible. Pace of Play was worse I've ever seen. 3 hours through 9 holes. Tees located directly next to greens. Almost got hit by golf balls multiple times. Would never play this course again
