7 Lakes Golf Club

About
This is a well-conceived, challenging, yet playable course, with a good reputation among local golfers.
Water comes into play on quite a few holes. The fairways are relatively wide, but it will help to play your shot carefully. A few bunkers lurk in the fairways, ready to create trouble. There are also some greens that require well-placed shots over water from uneven lies. Overall, this is a well thought out, fun and thoroughly worthwhile course.
Peter Tufts, (the gentleman who designed the course), was the godson of Donald Ross and the Ross influence is obvious throughout.

Decent
Greens were good, most fairways were good, rough bunkers/wasteland areas could definitely be tended to. But fair price compared to other courses in the area. Played at 2:30pm during the week and felt like the only one out there which was nice
Round on way out of town
Played this course on way out of Pinehurst and thought it was good. Greens were very good as were conditions in general..Had some unique holes and provided the fun and winding down I was after following several days in Pinehurst.
7 Lakes
Practice range is disappointing, course was in decent shape, greens were slow, staff was great and clubhouse was nice. Priced appropriately for what you're getting.
Nice course
The golf course had a few holes that were not in great condition but the layout was interesting and we had a great time. The staff was very accommodating and friendly.
Slow start, ended well!
Things got off to a rocky start. As mentioned in another review, the kid in the golf shop was kind of a jerk. The free lunch was awesome, as was the service in the restaurant. The driving range is a dump. Not sure it would even be fair to call it a range. The first fairway is burned out. But things did improve. The fairways need a little work overall but are certainly playable. Greens are in excellent condition. It’s a fun course and I will be back!
Lots of work needed on this course
Silent adore stated we have one hole that is under construction to me it looks like there's a lot of maintenance and bad areas on this golf course that needs to be addressed. Some of the fairways were in great shape the majority were needing lots of attention. Same for the bunkers. Really nice golf carts nice comfortable seats.
Beautiful, fun, and friendly
I played Seven Lakes for the first time today after living in the area for nearly four years. I can’t believe I’ve been missing out on this wonderful little course. The views and layout are excellent and make up for fairways that are a bit rough in places. The greens were being aerated but I’d imagine they play quite nicely under ordinary circumstances. Most importantly the environment is very friendly. I felt like I had the course to myself. The carts are the nicest I’ve seen - plush leather seats and Bluetooth speakers. One round purchased through GolfNow includes a meal, complete with a draft beer!
Take a Chance
Got in late at night and didn’t have anything set up for golf.
Saw the course on net and just made a tee time.I was just a single and they made me feel like I was a life long member.
I was very well treated and respected.
Thanks, glad I took a chance.

Pinehurst must play
Challenging layout for low and high handicaps. Greens rolled true. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Had great pace as foursome, early tee time. GREAT VALUE for the area. 🌟
Great value
First time playing the course. Fairways were still partly dormant but greens were excellent. Paid $38 which included cart, good lunch and a drink. Terrific value for a course with a lovely layout.
Great Course and Value
On a beautiful spring day we got a great deal on GolfNow.Overall the course is in good condition, greens rolled very good.Course was busy but we played in 3.5 hours.Included with the round is lunch and a beverage.Excellent food.Drive 20 minutes from Pinehurst and enjoy this course.
Nice Layout, Great Value
Challenging layout. Greens were good. It helps to assess the grain otherwise your put will be off line.
Fairways were still brownish but give them a couple of weeks. Carts were in good shape.
Played Monday afternoon and had the course to ourselves. Saw one twosome and one single all day.
Great value!
Enjoyable course
Enjoyed the elevation changes, something you don’t find in Florida. Greens were okay. Great staff! Will go back if we get back to Pinehurst!
Tough track, lots of elevation changes
This is a tough track. A lot of elevation changes, in some holes you fill like you're playing in a mountain course in the Rockies. The course will challenge you if you're not hitting long and straight shots of the tee. The course is very pretty and in excellent shape. There are quite a few carries, especially on the back nine. The water holes are super beautiful. My only recommendation is that if you're thinking of playing here, make sure your game is on point otherwise, it'll be a miserable round. The only negative is that the driving range is atrocious; it seemed like it was an after thought. I do want to play this course again but I want to make sure my game is on point before I do.
Nice course slow play
Nice course, the greens were slower than I expected. The pace of play was horrible. There were 2 foursomes in front of me and another player that joined me. The 2 groups in front were several holes behind the group in front of them. They were there to drink not play golf. This course needs a ranger out there to watch groups like this. First time playing the course, I disappointed.
