Play this course regularly.
New owners are great, they have a lot of work to do as last owners let it fall to S#!t. But they are working very diligently and it is coming along very nicely. Cheapest course in the area and the best staff.
Disappointing
Course was rough. Tee boxes were a mess and fairways looked like the rough in most places. Won't be coming back.
Great value
This course was in decent shape. It had a uniquely challenging layout. I enjoyed the round.
Needs improvement
Glad to hear there is new ownership and improvements are coming but right now this is not a $55 course. I’ve always liked the layout but the greens and fairways need work.
Course under maintenance
Played this course for the first time despite some of the negative reviews. There is a lot of work being done to improve the course. It was “ok” for what I paid. I would compare some of the holes to muni course conditions, but not all. Several were in decent shape. If your looking for a top tier course, this is not for you, but if your looking for value, it is exactly that. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. I plan on coming and hopefully see some of the improvements completed by then.
Greens are ROUGH, Literally.
Greens are not greens, they are overgrown rough.
Cant really count any shots after your approach shot. No driving range or warm up facilities.
Cheap for a reason.
Greens were gone.
It appeared were only ones on course. Played in 3 hours. Greens were punched some time ago. It appears as if grass is trying to grow only in punched holes resulting in parallel rows of small grass nodes a half inch apart. Played here many times before. This time was disappointing.
Help!!!!
Greens were in the worst condition ever. I felt like I was putting in my backyard.
This course was in terrible shape. The greens were recently plugged and grass was growing in little clumps scattered across the greens with sand in between. Gauging the speed of the putts was a nightmare. The best part of the whole day was having a sandwich and a beer at the turn in their grill. Evidently it is operated independently from the golf course. Food was really good. It’s a “Pittsburgh Steelers” bar and NFL fans pack it on name days.
