Great course with the trickiest greens in the Memphis area
I've played Forest Hill multiple times. It's one of the very few courses that you can usually get an early tee time at the last minute. Any tee time you get anywhere from 6am to about 730am USUALLY comes with a great pace of play. With that said in my opinion Forest Hill without a doubt has the most difficult greens with the most slope in the Memphis area. Very few if any straight puts exist. One wrong move and you can easily put the ball off the green onto the fringe. The course is fair in terms of difficulty but again, you actually need to hit some of these greens in the right spot. I would definitely recommend this course but it's not a place for beginners.
Mr. Kubo
He has the course in better shape than it’s been in years!!!!!
Great Course
The staff was friendly...course is well maintained and geared towards the experienced golfer that can make wise decisions off the tee.....its fairways are a bombers delight with an occasional tree in the fairway....the greens are fast and roll true......great time and plan on going again,,,,,
good golfing with friends
friendly owners, nicely maintained course, good value for the money. for a 20 hcp this course offers the challenge me and my friends need to improve. we play for fun but always leaves us wanting to play better the next time around. try this out, you won’t regret the experience!
Reviews are very misleading!
The course is not at all like what the glowing reviews report. Fairways remind me of a cow pasture. There are flies that swarm around your head constantly. I think I heard the faint sound of banjos as I pulled into the gravel parking lot. Definitely not worth your time.
Hidden Gem
I have played this course probably 10 times in the past year and it never disappoints. Friendly and welcoming staff paired with a fun and challenging course is sure to make a tear come to any golfers eyes. And for the money it’s pretty darn hard to beat. Course isn’t in exceptional condition, however given the time of year it’s to be expected. 10/10 would recommend
Great place to play
I've played here multiple times since summer of 2021. The course is always being improved by the owners. It's very challenging and there are many opportunities to improve your game here.
