About
Sleepy Hollow Golf Course is the top municipal course in the state and it is also ranked as one of the top 20 in the nation. Overlooking the Cuyahoga River Valley, the course is known for its scenery almost as much as its challenging layout. It has a traditional design with a classic "out-and-in" routing, with the incoming holes playing uphill into the wind, making them seem much longer than the indicated yardage. Golfers might be taken aback by the punishing nature of the golf course. There are 58 bunkers strategically placed around the tough greens, which comprise the main challenges of the course. Get ready to be quickly introduced to the Sleepy Hollow Golf Course's formidability with the lengthy second hole, a par 3 that will test even the longest hitters.

Golfer Reviews
Great layout, challenging course, fast greens
Love this course! Great layout that makes you think about where you want play you tee shot. Course is in great condition, green roll smooth and fast.
Beautiful course with nice staff
Played this course many times but had the best customer service experience today. The course seems to have replaced unhelpful staff with extremely helpful staff. Gary, started us and Doug assisted on the course, both were excellent!
They cancelled my tee time and handled it very poorly.
Staff with friendly smiles who have no actual understanding of how to take responsibility for a problem they cause and blame everything on “it’s just two computers talking”. They had my reservation for several days and instead of contacting anyone to cancel it they waited till we drove (two people coming from different directions) an hour each to tell us at the course that “oh that should have never been booked”.
There’s far more to it than this. But I’m done typing. Very very poor customer service or even understanding of customer service. If anyone from Cleveland metroparks management reads this, please leave a contact phone number.
Standing behind a counter and smiling when everything is smooth is the easy part of customer service. Smiling while you (literally) tell someone “not my problem” and “the course had nothing to do with this” is beyond abysmal.
Based on the way this was handled and the things they said - I can only assume it’s a regular problem with online bookings and that many golf now / golf pass members are turned away at the counter. I would of course advice against booking here.
Great course, top to bottom
I absolutely love this course! The staff is super friendly, the course layout is great and in great shape! Rough is a little thick and the greens are super fast, but that's what makes this course so challenging and one of the best public courses I have ever played!
Metro Parks gem
Had the chance to play sleepy hollow recently. The course remains one of the gems of public golf courses in the Cleveland area. Always well maintained and just a great layout.
Great Course
Course was challenging and was in great shape! Would definitely play here again
Cleveland’s best courses
I am a single digit handicap who was once scratch, now about an 8-9.
Sleepy Hollow - Fantastic - greens were somewhat slow and bumpy though….. The whole course was a touch soft in general . Good shot values with a variety of resistance to scoring….. just a solid design in average condition.
I played, what I thought were cleveland’s best on a short golf trip and
Ranking them I’d say
1) Manakiki
2) sleepy hollow
Distant 3rd
3) fowlers mill
Manakiki and sleepy Hollow - both fantastic….. very comparable- I would simply give the edge to Manakiki, because their greens were in much better shape ( firm- fast / true )
Fowlers mill was AWFUL - a swamp - not sure how this course gets its high praise - hated it.
Course was great
Played yesterday shot a 71 the greens had been aerated but rolled pretty good but not as fast as usual at this course. Course was wide open I think due to this it was very nominal in my opinion. Come play here it is fun but hard.
