Sleepy Hollow Golf Course

Sleepy Hollow is a great course and value to match. I’ve never had a bad experience playing here. The upkeep is impressive. The staff is top notch. Looking forward to to my next round here.

Course was really wet. short game around the green was extremely difficult. Ball striking needed to be at a premium. Some of the pin locations are fine for when it’s dry but some were really unfair with how wet and muddy the approach areas were.

Nonetheless for how wet it was course was in good condition love the layout.

My only complaints.. cart path only but little yardage markers to reference distance to green + called to check to see if range was open, was told yes. 2 hours later and an hour and a half before my tee time, I show up and the range is not at all open.

Fun course, tough greens. Cool layout.

Course was designed by Stanley Thompson and one of the few you can play in America (most of his courses are in Canada). SH is a terrific parkland layout that plays over hilly terrain. Several of the tee shots have big elevation changes for Ohio. The greens are typic Thompson greens that are large with plenty of movement.

Only negative is the course gets a lot of play and if you do not get out early it can be a long day.

First time playing, and it was great! (Once we started)! There was a hour and a half frost delay! So we got pushed back a little but that’s not really the courses fault! While we waited, they have a nice putting green and a full range! So it was nice to warm up prior!

My only “knock”, if you call it that. And this is probably just me, all the tee boxes seem like they are in the shade lol. Maybe that’s just because it’s fall and I was a little cold but the sun felt amazing once you were done teeing off! But probably nice in the summer!

Greens are FASTTTTTTTT! Holy! Very sloppy but fun to play!

Will be back next year!

Even though it was raining, the course was still in great condition. The greens rolled great, and there was a difference between playing in the rough or fairway. Loved the course layout and the course makes you think what kind of shot you need to hit off the tee. Only warning is to be mindful that some tee boxes are close to the greens of the previous hole.

Well kept - but played super slow (5.5 hours). Tee boxes right near greens so keep an eye out for errant shots.

My big complaint: the greens are slanted. Look, I’m not one to complain about greens. But they’re literally slanted at 30-45 degree angles. Even the pins aren’t somewhat level. It’s awful and incredibly gimmicky

All in all - didn’t live up to expectation and I won’t be going back without a great deal.

Played yesterday got behind a threesome playing scramble had to call clubhouse to get a range out was then told that there was an outing and it was a scramble took me 1 hr and 15 minutes to play 3 holes finally just told the group I’m playing thru. Got to 10 tee and there were 6 more scramble groups ugh so I went and played the front nine again and was told after that nine could play some of the course on the back. When I finished my 18 went to 10 tee and was told couldn’t go out ladies league ugh. If I hadn’t driven an hour to play here I would have left and asked for my money back. Worst day of golf this year.

I have played here many times. Outstanding course and country club maintenance. The first nine was finished in 1:45 hours with all 4-somes. However, in the back they put in two other 4-somes in front of us leading to a nearly 4 hour back nine. We did point out to the starter Kim and the Pro Brad. However, since our booking was thru G Now (no discounts) nothing could be done. This was unacceptable.

Excellent experience. Only problem is that play was slow due to course being too hard for most of the group ahead of us.
