great track and challenge
Played an afternoon round in some weather to prepare for a tournament round as I hadn't played here before. Managed an online deal that made it almost like a steal as this course challenges you and makes you play smart and good. The front nine were more forgiving than expected after viewing the websites flyover video. Then the back nine wakes you up. Great scenery, beautiful water, creeks, mini dam and Waterfall, an 80-90 yard green...great for a nature walk, but with clubs and a (few) white balls it can be intimidating. Loved the layout and the course. We won't talk score this time, but I will always welcome an opportunity to play Mirimichi again....
Sunday Outing
Most fairways and tee boxes in poor condition, very spotty grass. Lots of debris in the fairways twigs and such. Cups were cut poorly with damage from cutter around each one. Sand traps were rock hard with little so little sand you didn't even leave foot prints. It will take several months of work for it to improve enough before I try them again.
Save your money and the drive.
Not Great
Apparently the course had been pounded with rain over the last week which left it muddy from tee to green. The greens were in really good shape other than being slow but the rest of the course conditions were very poor. The course layout had potential and the back nine design was fun and challenging. If the course conditions were improved from tee to green sunstantially it would be a nice course. PS. Don't eat the chicken salad. My friend and I both grabbed a sandwich before we started and felt dizzy and sick until we hurled at the hole 6 tee. Played much better after that.
Super nice....
Had a great time. Course was in great shape for the time of the year, everything was clean and kept up. Every person I came into contact with from the course smiled and greeted you like either they owned the place, or you did! Greens where perfect, and very scenic course. Glad to see competitive prices and tee time deals on this resort quality course. Will defintly be back.
Nice Course
We played Mirimichi pretty early in the season and the course was in really good shape. The greens were rolling slowly but true. The facilities there are really nice, and obviously renovated in recent years. The staff was sort of friendly, but It's obvious they're focused on getting you checked in and paid more than they are interested in making your golf day a great overall experience. So have your wallet ready when you walk in.
My only complaint is the distance from the 10th tee to the clubhouse. It's far enough away that it's difficult to get food/drinks at the turn Without getting skipped. So get everything you need before you start your round.
Mirimichi
Was in town for a baseball tourney and took a chance on Mirinichi.....I picked right. Challenging course from all tee boxes. Fairways were good for early season and greens were in great shape. I would recommend this as a must play if your in the Memphis area!!!
Is this a country club?
I played Mirimichi on a Sunday morning, 8:20 tee time. I got there and thought the place was closed. It was raining and I'm from California. I hadn't played in the rain in awhile, so I cherished it. I warmed up and got going and was the only soul on the course. The greens rolled great despite the conditions. Sure, there were a couple mid balls, but it was raining. I would, and will, play again when I'm in town.
Summer time is best
Finally able to get a warm enough day to get out and play Mirimichi. Course hasn't had the chance to grow in from the winter so it's a little rough but still an amazing course! I do miss the gps systems the carts used to have, but not a need to come back. I'll be back several more times this year!
Cold weather but a great course
When I got there is was 40 degrees but it is a nice course. The greens rolled true and quick. Plenty of fun even in tough conditions, would like to play in summer
Mirimichi Memphis
The course is in excellent shape and has been every visit. This is a great course and I enjoy playing it whenever I get the chance. The course is the most expensive public course in Memphis, but worth the money.
Fantastic for the money
An absolute fabulous course! I am not from the area but any time I get near Memphis I want to play Mirimichi. The staff treats you like you are a member of a country club. Facilities are top notch, massive driving range, 18 hole putting course, outside patio bar at the turn, (which is away from the main clubhouse) and great landscaping and layout make this course a favorite.
