About
The Legacy Golf Course is one of Robertson County's must-play courses. Opened in 1996, it is not as old as some other courses in the area but the designer, Raymond Floyd, took advantage of the existing mature woodlands spread throughout the lush, rolling hills. At 6,755 yards, the course is seemingly short but it is narrow, and be prepared to face troublesome hazards almost everywhere. It is notorious for making balls from even the most slightly errant shots disappear. It is a tough but fair challenge. The golf course starts with a tricky par 5 with a bunker on the right followed by a par 4 that requires a 200-yard carry or you'll surely be faced with trouble. The back nine at Legacy G.C. is slightly less difficult but there are still plenty of hazards as well as several blind shots.

I’ve played here 40+ times, never get tired of the layout, one of the best you’ll ever play for a public course!!

Good test !
Played from tips, tees very hard to get tee in but greens were very soft. Good test of golf!

Great Course
First time playing The Legacy and I will definitely be back! A very well maintained and challenging course; fairways are fairly tight with a good amount of elevation changes. The rough is thick and can sometimes really eat up a ball, so hitting the ball straight is important.
The greens had been aerated fairly recently, but still had a pretty true roll, some were very large, so you may end up having some lengthy putts if you’re not honed in on the pin location.

Great Course
Legacy was one of the nicest courses I’ve played on. The staff was extremely knowledgeable of the course (being that it was my first time there) and very friendly as well. As for the course, the layout is perfect for any type of golfer. There’s some easy/forgiving holes and some not so forgiving and more challenging ones as well. They were aerating the greens on the front nine holes but they were still in awesome shape. I’ll definitely be visiting them again!!!

Great course
One of the best layouts in Middle TN if you enjoy elevation variety. The greens needed a little more care, due to divots but were very fun with unique undulations and rolled true and not too fast.

Fun/Challenging Course
I enjoyed my round and would go back. The course is challenging and you have to put your ball in the right spot on the green. The greens are very undulated which makes putting impossible if you're in the wrong spot.
My only critique is that the greens are littered with ball marks and divots. Every hole you've gotta fix 5-10 ball marks in your line alone. More annoying than anything, but didn't take away from the quality of the course.
Island Size Adventure Golf Greens
This PGA Pro designed golf course has massive greens which could skew GIR%. Many times i had 75-80 ft puts through major undulating greens, and additionally seemed like the holes have been in the same place for days. Lots of wear around the holes, even for an early morning tee time.
Piece of play was awful-twosome was playing multiple balls in front of a foursome that was directly in front of us. The foursome in front of us was “conducting business” and were all on their phones. The threesome behind us were on top of us the whole time making the round very uncomfortable-we couldn’t go anywhere.
This all could be resolved by having the rangers out on course keeping piece of play up.
Many other courses in the area to choose from. Don’t need to go back anytime soon.

Awesome course and staff
Clubhouse staff was really phenomenal. No just saying that.
Who knew.
Stumbled across this gem on a nationwide golf roadtrip. A little surprised to see gas golf carts still exists exist so no GPS. Luckily I had the course downloaded to Arccos on my phone. The course is quite hilly which made the rangefinder impotent.
I played in a very lite rain which had been going on for days. The greens were very receptive but the bunkers were compacted. In any case the course was lush and in excellent condition.
If I lived in Springfield, TN this course would be my forever home.
