About
The Legacy Golf Course is one of Robertson County's must-play courses. Opened in 1996, it is not as old as some other courses in the area but the designer, Raymond Floyd, took advantage of the existing mature woodlands spread throughout the lush, rolling hills. At 6,755 yards, the course is seemingly short but it is narrow, and be prepared to face troublesome hazards almost everywhere. It is notorious for making balls from even the most slightly errant shots disappear. It is a tough but fair challenge. The golf course starts with a tricky par 5 with a bunker on the right followed by a par 4 that requires a 200-yard carry or you'll surely be faced with trouble. The back nine at Legacy G.C. is slightly less difficult but there are still plenty of hazards as well as several blind shots.

The Legacy
The windiest day I have ever played golf. Great track, great onsite amenities. Excellent golf venue, I will return.
Solid layout with very interesting green complexes
I initially assumed this was just a real estate play of a golf course that would be fairly bland and riddled with houses. I was pleasantly surprised by several things. (1) Houses are visible on most holes but don't encroach on the golf course unnecessarily. (2) The greens have a lot of movement and constantly surprised us when we got up to each complex. (3) Varied layout asking different questions, varying the lengths of each hole considerably, decent amount of elevation change, etc. This is a hike from Nashville but pretty well worth it. If you find this course bland or boring I would be very interested to know where you are playing that significantly beats this place and has equally fair pricing.

Legacy was already a really nice experience. They have been doing so much to make the layout even cleaner and more satisfying. This time of year one would expect the greens to be in is going to conditions they were.

Not a great course
As someone who enjoys a nice/casual day of golf, there are plenty of course I have played around Nashville that allow you to play a better course for much less money. The beer selection is slim and overpriced for the quality. The food was good though. I don’t like that they don’t offer a 9 hole option either. This course was riddled with divots, on and around the greens. The course isn’t very difficult, and is surrounded by houses the entire time. The range is terribly laid out, doesn’t have listed yard markers. Personally will not return, and will do what I can to help my friends find better places to play. There’s no reason this should be ranked the #2 course in TN.

Solid Track
Beautiful course with challenging holes. Greens are in great shape for winter, prices are reasonable.

Amazing Layout backed up by an even more Spectacular Golf Course
Played on December 22 on a 50* day that was sunny but also a bit windy. The course was in phenomenal shape. Greens and bunkers may have been the best I’ve ever played on in 50 years of playing golf. Played in about 3 hours for 18 holes. Course is beautiful, with a great layout. Very hole had a different “Wow” factor! Various tee boxes let you choose the challenge in front of you. If you’re in the Nashville area, you won’t be disappointed.

A favorite in the region
I always play here when visiting Nashville.
The course is well maintained and plenty challenging for a mid handicapper like me.

This was our first time playing the course and our last round of a long weekend trip to Tennessee. This is a very fine course and we will definitely be back again. It's not quite as nice as Greystone or Gaylord Springs, but it is certainly worth playing again. We really enjoyed it and we will likely play all 3 courses again on our next trip down south. Very nice staff!
