The Legacy

This place was overall pretty good. Course is very challenging. Lots of inclines and declines with a few dog legs. Decent greens (FAST), tight fairways. Staff and pro shop were great. Only knock I have was the pace of play. It was a log jam from 9am on. People waiting for other people on every hole, and that slowed everyone. Took us just over 6 hours to play a round with 3 players due to the constant stream of people.

Great course, tough but fun layout. Only complaint was all the tee times were filled with groups of 2, so pace was slow waiting for groups stacked on top of each other. Old guys didnt want to pair up, but wouldn't let us play through either. Would be nice to see the pro shop group people for a better pace.

Greens are ridiculous to the point of absurdity. Every green is divided into three tiny tiers with extreme slopes between each tier. It is virtually impossible to two-putt from one tier to the next, and it is virtually possible for any one but a scratch golfer to hit the correct tier from the fairway more than 1/3 of the time.

I average 32 putts a round but had 5 three putts and one four putt at the Legacy.

I know the greens had just been worked on but the people playing ahead of us did not know how to replace ballmarks there was multiple greens where I replace mine plus 2 or 3 more as a golf course superintendent that is unacceptable.

Raymond Floyd designed course is a challenge for any level player. Greens are the best around. Pick your line and roll the ball to the hole. Greens putt true and consistent. Staff are super friendly. Always a great round that has many challenges.

This is a great, challenging course that requires creativity and shot making skills. If you are just wanting to grip it and rip it, this is not your place. But if you're looking for a place that will require good golf skills, then this is what you need to try. But beware: because of the challenging course layout, pace of play can be terribly slow as people search for their ball in the hazards. Plus, most do not play ready golf which makes for long wait times between shots. Apart from that, it's a beautiful course that you should check out!

Raymond Floyd designed golf course has shot-making fairways off the tee box and shot-making approaches to tight pin positions. Green undulations can be a challenge if you but your approach on the wrong side of the pin.

Greens put true with some small green surfaces needing some care.

Service staff inside and outside are superior to most courses in the area. Ample warm up range and chipping green for practice and preparation for your round.

Will return. Would highly recommend to any golfer with tee bixes for any level player.

Excellent course layout with trouble on both sides of the fairways. Greens were very fast and sometimes hard to play. The course overall was very well put together. For a weekday the pace of play was very slow… Took us five hours to play 18 holes at 10 o’clock in the morning. Would’ve been nice to have a drink cart or snack cart every so often while we are out. I will highly recommend to friends though.

Greens and fairways in excellent condition as always when I’ve played here. Pace a little slow but not bad we were a twosome behind foursomes so expected. Not to windy and the sun wasn’t beating down so very nice.

The Legacy is quite the spectacular layout with fair tees for all skill sets and lovely views. The tee boxes are in bad shape and the cart paths are pretty rough especially at the greens. Fairways are fair and greens are well maintained though too many golfers leave ball marks untouched. Overall, the course could be exceptional with modest improvements. The clubhouse is very dated and needs considerable work. We didn’t use the practice facilities.

Beautiful track with challenging hilly layout. Undulating greens were on the slow side...if they were cut short there will be lots of three puts.

The day started a bit overcast but the sun came out around hole 7. Beautiful day, temperature in the upper 60's to low 70's. Course looked well kept and maintained.
