Great course for the money!
We had a great time! Everyone was very friendly and informative! We will be back again! We were very impressed! Difficulty ranged on each whole, it was fun and challenging without being impossible!
Overall had a good time.
Course and facilities were nice enough to enjoy playing the game. Ran into a marshal 5 times during 18 holes who would remind you what not to do or where to go. Felt like you were being babysat at times which took away from enjoying the game. Overall had a good time.
Enjoyed It
Needed a quick outing or brain time off really enjoyed myself all went smooth! Had not played in over a year so course was not to challenging just right!@
Awesome time
Course was in good shape, a few of the greens needed some work but other than that it was nice. Fairways super green and Marshall's really on top of things there.
Fun course
This was a fun course. The greens are not in the best condition, but hopefully that's just a seasonal thing.
Good course but....
I have seen this course in better condition before. Always enjoy a round there, but the greens were a bit rough.
Decent time
The fairways were in great shape as a result of recent rains. The greens were a different story. Bumps and and clumps made for tough putting. Overall it was a good time, the facilities are clean and the starters were very friendly..
greens are in horrible shape.
Course layout was fine and with recent rains the fairways were in decent shape. The greens were a different story. A few were extremely bad and just about all of them had at least a few rough spots, particularly close to the flag.
This course is fun to play.
I play this course quite often and I always find it to be enjoyable. The golf course is always in perfect condition and the staff is always friendly. It is one of my favorite courses to play and quite affordable.
My round
Tee boxes and fairways were in pretty good condition but the greens were not in as good as shape as they have been as I do play the course pretty often. It did rain which caused the greens to play rougher since they were not in good condition.
Sad greens
The greens are in pitiful shape and the bunkers all had puddles when there had been no rain.
Rough greens
The course is a fun little challenge. The sand traps look like they hadn't been raked in days and we were the first group out in the morning. The greens were some of the worst I've seen. They had lumps and bumps and chunks out of them. The grass was when there was grass was very bladed which wouldn't allow the ball to roll true.
Needs Work
Enjoyed the course, but greens were in very bad condition (bumpy and bare). Tee boxes need watering (most difficult time I have ever had putting tees in the ground). Would like to see more money going into the course and not just remodeling the clubhouse and adding a restaurant that will not go over. A nice grill with burgers and sandwiches would be better than an Asian grill.
Best shape in years
Greens were very rough but improving. Fairways are the best shape in all my years playing the course. (15 years)
Staff was excellent. Very friendly. Course was busy but pace was good.
excellent greens
rough was cut short, fairways and greens were in excellent conditions. Will play course again.
Considering the Drought
The course has many spots that are affected by the recent drought. However, the course is in far better shape than others in the neighborhood.
Staff reminds all who play to protect the grass as much as possible.
Rewards good play but strokes can add up if not careful
Overall a good course to enjoy the game. Some short holes but you still have to be straight off the tee to score. Greens overall need work (bare spots/maybe some disease) but they still roll well. A good course to walk as it is not hilly. Marshalls do a decent job tracking pace of play.
Fun, But Rough Around the Edges
This tract was built in the 1970s as a part of a housing development along IH 35. It was located too far from town and the houses did not sell.
Thirty years later they are in the middle of a housing boom.
The course is a Joe Finger design and it's "a
fun to play" layout. There are lots of dry areas around fairways and greens. The fairways are very uneven and bumpy. A lot of the infrastructure needs repair.
They do a good job of Marshall control here.
We had the misfortune to run into a visiting scramble tournament.
Half the greens are OK, but many have large areas of bare spots. Many of the teeing areas are uneven, specially the ladies tees.
This was a fun course to play, even with all the
issues. It's a good deal with Golf Now.
Can't beat under $20 green fee
Best value for money and moderately easy. Green need work but they roll as intended, bit uneven.
The course overall is OK.
