About
Grand Oaks Golf Club enjoys a peaceful, tranquil setting among century-old oak trees and an abundance of wildlife. The course is as challenging as it is scenic with tree-lined fairways and small greens that will test your accuracy. It may have a traditional design but there is still some bite to this round. There are several strategically placed bunkers that lurk greenside to challenge you even further. Two meandering creeks weave along the golf course as well, coming into play on a few holes. The layout has a nice mix of holes from reachable par 5s to tough par 3s. Grand Oaks Golf Club is a fair test that is player friendly enough to appeal to players of all skill levels. There are some birdie opportunities available if you play it smart and it's forgiving enough for high handicappers to approach with confidence.

First time out
Be sure to get a yardage book when you check in. There are a lot of hidden ponds and creeks. So you need to know what it in front of you. I had lots of fun.

Great course with lots of water.
Overall the course was in good shape. The starter was very friendly and everyone on the course seem to be having a good time. The greens weren’t responsive like I was hoping but we’re just adapted. The pace was slow because of the guys in front of us didn’t seem to have much experience but overall I would play there again.

Impressed!
First time playing here and I must say I was pretty impressed by the course and the staff. The course is somewhat challenging in that there's lots of water you could possibly get into trouble with. Aside from that, the course appears to be well taken care of. Most impressive was that the course marshall's were actually out enforcing pace of play! This was highly appreciated and not often seen at most courses! Great job Grand Oaks staff!!! We will most definitely return!

Fun course and a great value
Course was a little dry … but what course isn’t at this time of year. Be sure to get a course book to help you avoid all of the hidden water ponds and streams.
The Marshalls (Cody) are friendly and helpful.

Great conditions
Hard to keep a course green and lush in July in Texas, but they have done a great job here. The greens were in great shape and the fairways were also very nice. Great value for the money. Definitely recommend

There were these huge flying ants which me me very nervous. There was even one in my car this morning. I’m not playing there anymore until they get rid of those.

Jimmy!
As soon as we rolled up to the first tee, we were greet by the Marshall named Jimmy. Immediately we know we were in for a good day at the course, he had us laughing and joking. He asked if a a pair could play a head of our foursome we had no problem letting them go by while we enjoyed Jimmys company a little longer. All in all we'll be back to play the course, big part in thanks to our experience on hole 1's tee pad.

Alright
This course was alright, the holes actually seemed shorter, because we were playing from the gold tee off box, but was alright for the players that came with me, beginners. Other than that I would play there again.

HIDDEN GEM
When I played on St. Patrick’s Day the fairways and tee boxes were fantastic but the greens were not great to say the least….lPlayed today and the greens were smooth, fast and rolled true. I will definitely be back. Great course and staff. Club house seems fairly new, has a full bar and clean bathrooms. A great price for the conditions I experienced today. Hidden gem of GP!
