About
Grand Oaks Golf Club enjoys a peaceful, tranquil setting among century-old oak trees and an abundance of wildlife. The course is as challenging as it is scenic with tree-lined fairways and small greens that will test your accuracy. It may have a traditional design but there is still some bite to this round. There are several strategically placed bunkers that lurk greenside to challenge you even further. Two meandering creeks weave along the golf course as well, coming into play on a few holes. The layout has a nice mix of holes from reachable par 5s to tough par 3s. Grand Oaks Golf Club is a fair test that is player friendly enough to appeal to players of all skill levels. There are some birdie opportunities available if you play it smart and it's forgiving enough for high handicappers to approach with confidence.

Greens are horrid
The greens were more patchy with weeds and dead spots then the rough. I understand texas weather is hard to maintain but maybe fertilize them? Sand them? Punch them? Literally anything other than what is happening now.

Usually a great track
The pace was rather slow for a sunny Friday and we did not see a marshall. The greens were very challenging to putt on with the amount of poa on them. It was like putting plinko. Everyone we encounted inside was great as usual.

Not bad for winter conditions
Everything was dormant, but it is a nice, fun course. Lots of creeks and water holes.

Nice layout very slow play. Greens were nothing but crab grass. I won’t go back

Staff
Kerry in the pro shop was very nice a accommodating. He greets everyone and very welcoming. He offered me range balls to warm up because I was there 2 hours before my t-time. One of the staff offered me more range balls when he saw that I was running low on range balls. That’s very gracious of him. I really appreciate the hospitality that the staff provided. The course was fun and conditions were good. I recommend this course if you haven’t played it. Good rates for a weekend round. Thanks again to the staff for making my 1st time playing this course a good experience. 4!!!!!!!!!!

Great Club House! Poor layout & conditions
Love the Proshop/Sports Bar!
Poor course layout, and green complexes are all elevated with poor overall conditions for green turf, and runoff areas around greens.
Would rather play almost anywhere else for the same price point.

Last time
This course is just not as fun to play as other courses.
Layout is not good.
Very flat.
Lots of weeds on green. Lots of trash in creek on par 3. Course definitely needs some ground work.
