About
There's no doubt Red Wolf Golf Resort is a Texas-themed facility, complete with holes named after the Harrington's bulls (they are providers of bulls for professional rodeos) and a Southwestern-styled clubhouse. As for the golf course, Jay Riviere's design has always been considered a fine layout. Take advantage of the easier front nine by scoring well on the opening holes. No. 9 is the most difficult hole on the course. It shoots through a narrow opening uphill into the sloped fairway. This one is mean -- it was formerly a par 5 -- and requires a long approach over a lake.

Course in good condition for the amount of rain the area received in the past week or two.
New management don't like golfnow....
The gentleman behind the desk was rude, he told me "you are using a golfnow special and by letting you play here we don't make any money, it's a good deal for you but not for us"

Great course
Quiet course tucked away outside the city. Always friendly staff and players. Well worth the trip

Interesting Layout
Course demands accuracy off the tee and holes are challenging with little to no bail out areas.
Tee boxes were uneven and the greens are in very rough shape: crabgrass, recently punched and sanded.
Pace was good at 3:30 total for 18 but not great. Course had the giant sprinklers on for 3 holes on the back nine right in the middle of the fairways so you had to dodge the water.

Houston match up
Best hidden jewel in the rough, best course for the money. Front nine greens were a little flat and wet but can’t beat Mother Nature. Layout is great, staff was super friendly, we have played numerous times and it never disappoints.

Not a 4 star course
I can't imagine how this course was rated 4 stars. Even though it was February, other courses nearby were in better condition. The cart had trouble starting and when I reported it, the staff just shrugged it off. I would not recommend this course, even if it was free.

Nice round
It was good to play here without cart path only. Much drier conditions. Didn’t enjoy the painted greens or the cart tracks across the greens from the morning worker that put the flags out. Never saw a Marshall or drink cart, but all in all we enjoyed the course & will be back.

Good layout but needs some TLC
Weather has been rough so far this year with a lot of rain so can't really blame the golf course. However at the present time greens are dormant and a little bumpy.

Get better irrigation
Really need better irrigation and better sand in the bunkers. It is also very annoying to play a dodge kids on atv and utv. The kids destroy the course and the greens. Also maybe lower the price for the horrible quality of the course.

DEAD
The course is dead, everywhere, greens, .greens had no green on them, except for weeds trying to grow. Just no a fun playable course righ5 now

Long and challenging
This was the third time I’ve played this course but the first time I played all 18 holes (once in July when it was too hot and once on New Years Day when the daylight was too short). The course was very wet (cart path only) but all the creeks, ponds, trees, and marshes makes this course lots of fun.

Friendly staff, good value
They have done a good job with getting the course back in good shape after Harvey. Friendly staff and snack bar is now back open for drinks and some food.

The person behind the desk discouraged me from using Golfnow because they don't get any money for letting me play their golf course .
