Westfields Golf Club

Awesome course, greens rolled well conditions really nice. Pace was good staff was excellent. Will be back.

Here are the items from today:

1) No one is repairing fairway divots, seems to be a problem all over Northern Virginia!

2) Greens are full of poa annua. This may be a problem for a long time!

3) Some tee boxes are in the process of being re-sodded.

4) Still a great layout with a friendly, helpful staff.

As this is one of my favorite courses, I hope conditions improve to make this course worthy of the prices they charge to play!

This is a fun course to play; well designed with challenging but not impossible holes. Course in very good share; staff very helpful. A little pricey but Golf Now bargains may be available; if so, do book it.

Westfields is a great course, one of the top 3 in the N. VA area (not counting private courses). It's definitely one of my favorites.

Greens have been punched, not rolling smooth, fairways had no roll, tees missing a lot of grass. Overall this is the worst condition I have seen for this course. Very disappointing. Course just looks unmaintained everywhere. Seems that in the fall and early spring they would have seeded the tees and fairway areas where grass is sparse.

Very nice course and staff were helpful and friendly. Some greens need treatment and they just got aerated.

Course is in OK condition overall, a few dry patches on the fairways and fringes. Greens were aerated so quite a bit bumpy.

Course is a strong layout the front nine you have to hit quality shots to make pars. the back nine has some birdy hole and 18 can be tricky you don't hit good.

Great staff. Excellent pace of play. Conditions were damp but not sloppy. Greens recently top dressed. Overall an excellent outing.

Like many courses in Northern Virginia, this summer of excessive rain and high temperatures took a toll on one of the best courses in the area. I have seen conditioning at this course in much, much better shape. Course is still better than many in the area. I hope the spring growing conditions will allow the staff to bring this course back to its full luster for 2019.

Course is in rough shape right now due to a overly saturated summer. Wouldn't pay full price for it right now. Got a great deal with a Hot Deal. Was cart path only so the round took 4 1/2 hours. Course should shut it down and restart next year. Would normally recommend but not in current condition.

Course seemed to suffer from overplay and wet fall conditions. Fairway turf was thin and rough was half bare on back nine.

I recently spent the day at Westfields. I demo'd and purchased a new 3 wood (Callaway Rogue Subzero), then head out for a round. The demo/ fitting lab is top notch. I will exclusively use them for all of my club purchases moving forward. I chose to not use the Trackman, but they have that whole set up there.

The course is fantastic and is in good shape. It does get a lot of play, but they do well to keep it up. The was a tournament the day I played, so it was a little choppy on the greens, but not too bad.

Overall, Westfields is in my top 5 DMV courses, and I look forward to coming back soon.

The course will always be a top 5 public course within an hour of downtown DC, and a top 3 in Northern Virginia with Raspberry and Stonewall. Friendly staff. Can't tell you the last time the grass tees on the range were open.

My one complaint is that the greens currently look like they belong at a muni. Quite possibly the effects of overplay.
