Burke Lake Park Golf Course
Burke Lake Golf is a moderately difficult par 3 course. The greens are more challenging than they look. They are in average condition but not terrible. The layout of this par 3 course is varied with a number of uphill shots and reasonably narrow fairways. It is never lush but it certainly is adequate and a pleasuer to play.
No grass- weeds and mud
Course is in terrible shape
All weeds and mud/ not much grass
Tee boxes in terrible shape
They need to put some time and money into upgrading course
I wouldn't play there again
Need to get up some iron shots? Enjoy...
Fairfax County's 18-hole par-3 course has a great niche in its offerings, making a reasonably priced setting for kids, seniors, beginners and others looking for practice. This is far from a pitch-and-putt, as many holes stretch out to 175-200+ and a half dozen or so are lined with mature, crowding trees. The late '60s American parkland aesthetic can be a little monotonous, but there is a pond and some shorter, open holes to spice it up. Thankfully, I saw no carts...this is meant to be a walking course.
The adjacent driving range is one of the best in the area if you like seeing your ball land once it's hit. There's a pretty decent practice green as well.
(Funny that a reviewer who's been playing there 40 years mentioned goose droppings as a recent problem. The geese have been there at least 40 years as well!)
Goose Dung EVERYWHERE!!
Have played here for 40 years. Great course to practice your short game, and price is right. Unfortunately, the course continues to deteriorate. Greens and tee boxes are neglected and there is Canadian Goose dung everywhere Just Gross!
Wet and Sloppy
This course is probably ok. It was very wet and sloppy. But many of the holes are very similar in both distance and structure. Not bad, but not the best I've played.
Slow Winter Round
Great value and perfect for golfers of all abilities. The pace of play can be awful at times however. I played as a single and waited on the tee box about 8-10 mins per hole. If you aren’t in a rush and want to work on your short games, this is definitely the course for you.
First 18
Today was the first time I was able to play a full 18 holes at Burke Lake. This is a very nice Par 3 course and it does have some longer holes. Great for newer and seasoned players alike.
Golf with the kid
Great course to hang and bang with the college kid who returned home for the semester... courser is in good shape...and the ladies in the pro shop were incredibly friendly and helpful....looking forward to our next round.
Not bad at all
Tees were not destroyed, fairway was a little wet considering it rained the day prior. Putting was easily better than Oakmarr that has what seems like mini land mines all over. Back 9 were nicer than front 9 cause I think most people don’t play the full 18. Enjoyed it and I’ll be back.
Rough shape...great par 3 course
First time playing the course. Greens were quick and in decent condition with some blighted areas. Tee boxes were not great at all. There was barely any grass to hit from. I imagine this is due to the high volume of play. Staff is always friendly here as I use the driving range 3-4 times a week. Overall a fun par 3 track.
