Tee boxes and greens were in deplorable conditions

I got teamed up with 2 other singles. None of us knew each other but we were all good golfers and enjoyed our round together. Staff was great!

The course was in rough shape this past weekend. The fairways were green but there were a lot of swampy areas on them and around the greens. I had more than a few plugged balls during my round. The tee boxes were either completely dead or so swampy that it was tough to find a good area to tee off. One of the holes, number 2 I believe, had so many cicada killer hornets on the box that we moved to a different tee.

The bright spot for the course conditions were the greens. Although they have tons of ball marks (looks like not a single person fixes their marks when they hit the green), and were over-watered and soggy in many areas, they are green and rolled pretty true when you didn't have to putt through a ball mark.

Overall, this course is in bad shape compared to some of the others in the area. Especially when you consider that for $10 or $15 more per round you can play a really nice course.

The tee boxes are terrible. Many of them are down to dirt and sand. Hard to find a good spot for tee shot. Wait till the Fall to play this course.

Challenging layout. Course was very firm. Greens were a little hairy, but rolled true. Pace of play was odd. There were multiple singles on the course, which slowed play down. Should have been paired up.

I live in this community and have played this course numerous times over the last twenty years. The course is usually in very good shape regardless of the time of year. Currently, there is a lot on this course that needs attention. A number of the tee boxes are completely burnt. The tee box on hole #2 has a number of in ground hornet nests that make it dangerous to tee off from the designated area. All the sand traps throughout the course also are infested with smaller hornets or some other type of flying insect. This makes it tricky to hit any shots out of the trap. The fairways are in good shape and most of the greens are also in good shape. On the cart that we used there was no water in the ball cleaning attachment. We played on a 90+ degree day and there was no cart person on the course providing drinks to purchase. I would stay away from this course for the near future until they get some of these issues resolved. I've played some county course recently that were in better shape then South Riding.

a tee box should have a sprinkler near it so a tee box might have grass. Also, on a 97 degree day where there is no water on the course, they should ensure that there is a beverage cart driving around.

I knew i was late to tee time just one minute. So, i apologize to starter sever time. And i apologize tobmy team either. Even my team still waiting on first tee. But i heard the stater said to me 'danm it'.

The course was in fair condition considering the numerous days of above 90 degrees temps. The greens were in good condition, but hard and the ball ran, especially on chips.

I would not recommend this as a walking course. It's would be a long walk between hole 1 and 2.

Feel like don't care maintenance but collecting money

I had already made my reservation online for a party of 4 and paid in full but 2 members from my party thought they had not been paid for and completed their own transaction at the course. I explained that I had already paid for them, showed them email proof, and asked to refund their payment. But the person at the desk said that he could not and simply gave me his manager's card, leaving me and my friends being charged twice and providing no help.
