Hobbs Hole Golf Course

First time here … great experience… from the tee to the greens…

I cannot begin to tell you how wonderful this golf course is! It starts with the awesome staff, Brian the golf pro he is amazing! He is so accommodating and makes you feel like you’re walking into his home when you walk into his golf pro shop; and I ‘d like to add , is fully stocked with everything you can imagine and the prices are very reasonable!!

And now about this awesome golf course…… I can honestly say this is the best course in Virginia! The fairways are like walking on carpet and the greens are absolutely wonderful and well maintained. My brother and I so very much enjoy this course, we try to play here at least 2-3 times a month! See the photos I’ve posted below that were taken during our outing yesterday!!

Last but not least, I wanted to mention the brand new restaurant that just opened recently that is absolutely amazing! The food here is prepared fresh daily and the owner is actually behind the line preparing your selections to ensure you will enjoy your experience and meal!

Brian, Emma, and the entire team at this course is the best ever they Are so passionate about what they do you can tell they put their heart and soul into making sure each and every guest that visits this course is happy! Thank you Brian and team, we look forward to seeing you again soon!

I’ve played Hobbs hole many times, but this time the course was in super shape. Tee boxes good, fairways good, but the biggest surprise was the greens. The greens were absolutely perfect, really fast, but rolled so true I was amazed. Overall I’m giving them a solid 5 stars. The superintendent should be proud of the course.

Course was in excellent condition. Was a pleasure just to be there.

First time playing Hobbs Hole and will definitely be back. Course was in pretty decent condition especially without recent rain. Wide open layout helped our scores for sure. Absolutely terrific staff! Met the GM/Pro, Brian, and his service dog. Great guy really made us feel welcome. Everyone we met was friendly and apologetic for a slow group up ahead. Thoroughly enjoyed playing.

Accomadating staff, a beautiful course, and central location make Hobbs Hole the place to play. Last Tuesday the back nine was being aerated and the front was done the day before. A nice driver and 3 iron left me 8 feet. Sunk my first Eagle after 20 months of playing. Memories that'll last a lifetime, thanks to a the hard work off the staff and management of the course.

I travel by here from time-to-time and have always wanted to play and finally got the chance. I got a sweet Hot Deal from GolfNow and thought I’d get paired up with a threesome but ended up playing alone and the course was wide open, never even had anyone behind me the whole round. The course was in great shape from tee to green. It’s not the most difficult course but there are a few challenging holes and tricky greens, including the 420+ yard 8th (no. 1 handicap). The staff was very friendly, including the pro shop dog who greeted everyone!

I had a great time, had a nice warm up on their driving range and putting green, which are also in great shape. I had one of my best scores ever and my only regret is that I didn’t get to play with anyone! I’m not a long hitter so the length of the course is ideal for me (from the white tees). I recommend this course for a nice, relaxing round that is also very reasonably priced!

Shame on previous player that day. The Greens were full of ball marks and the sandtraps was not mended after they visited them. Shame, shame, shame.

Restaurant not open. Would enjoy a beer and sandwich afterwards. Play in the morning and it’s never open when done.

I had another awesome round at my favorite golf course! This course just gets better and better and better every time I play here….. however, it’s always great! The golf pro Brian, has made so many changes here in the past few months and it’s absolutely wonderful! The pro shop is stocked with awesome golf clothing shoes and equipment…… they have anything and everything you could imagine for golf! And if you need lessons Brian is your person…. He is awesome when it comes to giving great golf lessons! I love this golf course and look forward to my next round here soon! A big big thank you to Brian and his staff for being so amazing! This is one of the best courses in the state of Virginia! I love playing here and cannot wait until the next time I’m able to play at this awesome course!
