Hobbs Hole Golf Course

I love this course!! Brian the pro at this shop is amazing! Brian and his staff Emma, Sherry and Hunter are great! They are always there to take teetimes and check us in with a smile and a warm welcome! The golf pro shop is top notch and offers everything a golfer should need! Big huge compliments to Bryan for all he has done to make this what it is! Bryan is amazing is Customer service in relationships he has with all of his golfers is so special! Do you need lessons from a great golf pro Brian is your person! He is amazing and can fix your golf game in a matter of seconds! This golf course is top notch number one in my book in the entire state of Virginia! I love it here and I play here every chance I get! I live on a golf course which is very nice but I drive over 100 miles ti play here! Here’s a few photos from the last time we played.

In two words. “Freakin awesome”. Course is in darn good shape. Greens a beautiful. The superintendent should be proud of what’s being done.

I’ve been going to the scores for 20 years. The new ownership really stinks. The course used to be really nice. However, now the course is poorly maintained and the staff are downright rude. It will be a long time before I give them another chance.

Course starting to recover from winter and the greens were aerated so putting was a challenge also tee boxes need some love. Staff as always very friendly I’ll definitely play again

Greens have been punched and sanded. Wish they could let potential players know.

I play this course multi times & I never been disappointed from the time of checking in until the end. Few of Sand traps were under repair but let's face it you shouldn't be in the sand Lol however maintenance is doing a great job on the up keeps. 👍 👍.

Not much to say...course was OK for this time of the year. A little wet, fairway grass was dormant to sparse, greens were putting OK. Enjoyable round, but I can't wait for warmer weather and the greening of the fairways. Staff is friendly and helpful. Would be a member there if I lived nearby. Highly recommended...just remember, it's still winter and the course is not in superb condition that it is in the summer and fall months. Still, a great day of golf.

For the value, worth the drive outside of the RVA into the start of the Northern Neck. Restaurant was awesome, course conditions excellent for winter play (windy). Greens were in great shape and fast. Considering all the courses in the RVA want to charge north of $55 to $100 for WINTER golf, well worth considering the shape of Hobbs Hole is as good or better than most of the courses here.

This course is in good shape for winter conditions with average tee boxes, good fairways, and very good greens. In fact the greens were the fastest I've played in months. As for the layout it is a very basic flat, straight back and forth track. Not much sand and the water is never really in play. It's a short course and I would recommend it for beginners and casual players. More experienced golfers might want a bit more of a challenge than Hobbs Hole provides.
