Hobbs Hole Golf Course

Not much to say...course was OK for this time of the year. A little wet, fairway grass was dormant to sparse, greens were putting OK. Enjoyable round, but I can't wait for warmer weather and the greening of the fairways. Staff is friendly and helpful. Would be a member there if I lived nearby. Highly recommended...just remember, it's still winter and the course is not in superb condition that it is in the summer and fall months. Still, a great day of golf.

For the value, worth the drive outside of the RVA into the start of the Northern Neck. Restaurant was awesome, course conditions excellent for winter play (windy). Greens were in great shape and fast. Considering all the courses in the RVA want to charge north of $55 to $100 for WINTER golf, well worth considering the shape of Hobbs Hole is as good or better than most of the courses here.

This course is in good shape for winter conditions with average tee boxes, good fairways, and very good greens. In fact the greens were the fastest I've played in months. As for the layout it is a very basic flat, straight back and forth track. Not much sand and the water is never really in play. It's a short course and I would recommend it for beginners and casual players. More experienced golfers might want a bit more of a challenge than Hobbs Hole provides.

Can’t beat this course for play ability and value. Staff friendliness is a much welcomed bonus.

I booked a round on thanksgiving day, and arrived to find this sign. I had my push cart in my trunk, and took off for a round.

Hobbs Hole is the best shape I’ve seen a course in the northern Virginia area for this time of year. It was a very interesting layout, and I will definitely be back. The only thing I couldn’t rate was staff friendliness as they were at home for a well deserved day with their families.

Played this course multi times and never been disappointed from the time I started to the end.

Outstanding staff. Very friendly. Let me play in front of a tournament, which was outstanding. I got to work on parts of my game. I would never have normally been able to worrying about people behind me or in front of me. Thanks again to such a terrific staff and golf course.
