Fantastic Course Conditions
Other than the two groups of younger golfers that were ahead of us and slowed the course pace of play... the actual course is in immaculate shape... can't wait to play again.

Great shape, slow round
Took 3.5 hours to play final 12 holes, no Marshall to be seen on a scorching day. Layout was fair and conditions were excellent. Fast greens great fairways.

Excellent venue but …
Course was in outstanding shape. It’s fun to pay. Only reason not 5 stars is no starter. First hole is a free for all. I prepaid 7:30 tee time. Checked in at clubhouse. Go to first tee and. 2 other groups claim they have 7:30 tee time which is first of the day. The other 2 groups were members and said they have standing tee time. If so why is it available on golf now. I’m guessing they show up and expect to be accommodated. It worked out but definitely a horrible way to start your round with awkward conversation about who has the tee first. I’m sure it’s a member issue because club house attendant told me we were first group out, we were a twosome, and were paired with 2 members. At first tee they were now 3 because someone else decided to play that morning. Again, Blick out those tee times for members and not put on golf now. I prepaid for my round expecting to be first group off for the day.

Overall Experience
Hobbs is a great course. This round was after a previous round in May. The round in May was awful primarily due to the abundance of bitting horse flies. The dragon fly that normally takes care of the horse fly hadn't arrived... Other than that the experience was good.

Horsefly Attack
I reserved the tee time on line Golfnow.com. When we got there we found that the back nine was closed and being aerated. We had to play the Front twice and it had been aerated the day b4 so we couldn't putt. There had been no indication of this when I made the reservation. Maybe I should have called. Maybe they should have communicated course conditions to Golfnow. When we got to the first tee we were immediately swarmed by biting horseflies that stuck with us and other players on the course for the entirety of the round. We bought some bug spray in the clubhouse but it was of little help. Nice course Nice people. Bad circumstances. We drove an hour and a half to play here and had a miserable day.
Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenient circumstances you experienced during your visit, including the closure of the back nine for aeration and the presence of horseflies. We will look into how we can better communicate course conditions to Golfnow and hope these issues do not discourage you from playing with us again in the future.
LOVE Hobbs Hole
This course is absolutely beautiful! I love playing at this course and every chance I get I am here because it is so amazing! Brian the golf pro and his staff are the best ever! When you enter the golf shop you immediately meet Saylor, Brian‘s sweet dog! If you have time to browse the golf shop you will find amazing deals and the best golf equipment and golf attire around and all thats reasonably priced!
While you are here don’t forget to inquire about great golf lessons from Brian!
Also , the restaurant is awesome! The food is amazing!!!

Good forgiving course
Great course to play without much punishment. Some fairways need to grow in more.tee boxes definitely need work. Most, if not all greens were great.
