Course is very playable for all golfers. great venue, highly recommended.

This is our favorite course in Virginia Beach. We play it more then any other golf course at the beach. Can not beat it for the price and condition. Thanks to the staff!!!

Outstanding condition on all fairways and greens. Very friendly staff and the best buy for your money in the Virginia Beach area.

Kudos to the City and how they maintain this beautiful course. The greens are good, the fairways good and the pace of play was good and the price was Great. No houses to look at and no dogs barking from the sides while you are playing.

Redwing provides enjoyment for all levels of golfer. Course condition has remained very good in spite of the amount of play it gets. Finishing the front nine and back nine with par fives will make sure you are awake and challenged throughout the round.
Well worth the play.

Red Wing Lake was a very nice course with an outstanding staff! This course is well maintained and plays fair.

If you hate slow play, don't play here. No rangers to move slow groups along or to advise slow groups to allow faster groups (like our twosome) to play through. Other than that, the course is nice but unless you enjoy 5 hour rounds, play somewhere else.

Fairways are very generous, and rough is not very high. Golfers need to repair ball marks on greens!

Great course layout everything was well maintained. The layout is nice because you essentially play a north course (front 9) and a south course (back 9). There are a lot of dog legs which made the course fun. The only draw back i would say was the range balls. It really just depends on how much warm up you need. I usually hit a regular size bucket (which they referred to as a large bucket) and it was 7 bucks. a small bucket was 4 bucks. other then that great course its in my rotation.

The golf course looked great; the staff was friendly. The course looked really nice even though the pace was slow because of the large turn out.

I have played Redwing before, dozens of times as a matter of fact, but that was almost 20 years ago. My how things have changed! I always liked the course, it was just the upkeep , the staff, and the cost that kind of bummed me out. I played for the first time, in a long time two weeks ago, and was blown away at how great the course looked, how friendly the staff were, and the cost has dropped a bit.

My car and three others were broken into (windows broken out) while we played. Management did not come out to parking lot to see what happened, and then blamed it on us for leaving valuables in car. Police said it was third time this has recently happened. 25 year resident who will never play here again. Management response was beyond comprehension. Realize this happens but to say it is customers fault is completely unsatisfactory.

Played this course twice in the last ten days. The greens were in good shape, fairly slow when putting. Didn't lose a lot of balls due to fairway width, not a lot dense underbrush when straying from the fairway. Very enjoyable rounds without being familiar with the course. Give it a try when in the area.
