Red Wing Lake Golf Course

Played with my wife while in Va Beach. Nice layout, good conditions, great pace of play. Enough of a challenge for most golfers. Minutes from the beach.

I had a very enjoyable time on this course. It was in great shape. Greens rolled well and rough was cut which made it easy to find errant shots. This is a course I will play again.

Beautiful course, great value. Greens were a little rough from people not fixing their ball marks. But overall a great course. Played all three days of my Virginia Beach visit.

Worse round of golf ever. Guys in clubhouse we’re flat out rude and disrespectful. Charged $20 for someone to ride along, I don’t mind a riding fee but $20 is way high. Especially when your told your playing in a 4some with a group of 2 and another single, so of course you’d need an extra cart, but the other single never shows. The starter gave no cares of what was going on, sending group after group off no matter what the group before was doing and just backing the course up more and more. Waited 10mins between every shot and the Marshall never said anything to the groups that were playing slow, taking 10mins to look for a ball in the woods or near water or people taking 15 hacks at the ball to move it 5 yards then pick it up and throw it and acted like they holed out at Augusta.instead he complained to the group that sat on the tee box for 15 mins watching this go on and finally hit their driver well over that group opposite side from them. Common curtesy would be let them play thru correct? Not here, if your not a local or member don’t waste your time. Will never play here again

If you just want a nice place to play this is fine. Condition was not great but could be due to it being later in the season. It was a good value and not busy. Played with a nice canadian couple and enjoyed the driving range

Red Wing Lake is a well maintained course with good fairways and smooth, consistent greens. The layout is fairly challenging allowing you to hit big drives on many holes while requiring more controlled placement to set up your approach on others. Combined with greens that will allow you to attack most pins makes for a very enjoyable day on the course.

Great course but they just recently aerated greens so putting was not good.

Nice course, wonderful staff, well controlled pace and will definitely play this course again.

Played of the blue tees. Had a very enjoyable day of golf a great mix of par 5s par4s and par 3s . The greens were fast but unfortunately marked with a lack of pitch mark repairs.

One of the best public courses that I have played. The overall condition was excellent. Wide tree lined fairways, greens and tee boxes were in very good shape. A pleasure to play...will definitely go back! A great location if you are on a beach vacation!

This is the first time I have played Red Wing and I am more than impressed with the course in general! The tee boxes, fairways and greens were in great condition. The rough was well maintained as well. Only gripe I have, and it’s me being nit picky, is there were only a few ball washers and the ones I came across were missing the drying towel. Overall, Red Wing is now in my top 3 courses in Va Beach and definitely worth every penny!

Greens were in poor shape, mostly from unfixed ball marks. Please repair your ball marks golfers!

Course is in decent shape. Lots of rain the night before and course still was pretty dry. People need to repair their ball marks better on greens. Bunkers are very hard and unplayable. Overall great course.

The course was in good shape as far as tee boxes and fairway conditions. My only complaint is that the greens look like players don’t take care of their divot marks. I wouldn’t blame the course for it but, it sure isn’t fun to putt through moon craters! “Make one fix two”
