excellent day on the course
weather was great, not very many golfers out, pace was good. Only a two some, we were able to pass a foursome and had a single join us for the rest of the front nine.
Great layout, nice greens, pace of play better than the norm here
Bidwell is a beautiful course. Given the heat the fairways are drying out. My main pet peeve of this course is typically the pace of play is too slow, but given it was 110* today that wasn’t an issue. Greens are impressive for how many rounds are played here. Beautiful layout in Upper park with a ton of scenery.
Fun course but roughs need trimming
On most holes, either you keep the ball in the fairway, or you will not find your ball. The areas outside the fairways have tall, mostly cured grass and weeds. Otherwise a fun course. The fairways and greens are in top shape. There are lots of deer and geese. Bring some snacks for the ground squirrels. My partner love the golfer wraps. The carts are clean and in good shape.

Bidwell is in great shape right now. Course superintendent has it in great condition.
Better shape in the Spring
Bidwell was in great shape. They mow the course, unlike Table Mountain. We were very happy with our round.

Mike made our day at check-in. Great course!
Mike was so nice a check-in and made some accommodations for our group, course was in ideal conditions. Beautiful weeping willows, blossoming trees, wildfowl. Course has some easy holes and some challenging doglegs on the back nine. Mike warned us about 16 as there is water right in front of the green. Thanks River Oaks for the hospitality and fun day out at the course.
