Camaloch Golf Club
About
Camaloch Golf Course is located within the Puget Sound "Sun Belt," which receives only half of the nearby rainfall of nearby courses. Its location on Camano Island also puts it at an advantage during the summer months when the temperatures rise up to the 90s on the mainland, the golf course stays cool thanks to the coastal breezes. The course first opened with nine holes in 1972 and expanded to an 18-hole course in 1991. Known for its smooth and consistent greens, Camaloch G.C. has long been a local favorite. The layout starts with a gentler front nine that features wide fairways and fewer hazards. The back nine becomes much more difficult with several holes that play over water. Camaloch Golf Course's undulating greens putt fast and true, and they are often accompanied by strategically placed bunkers.

Course has some challenging holes
Course has some very good holes along with some challenging holes with water on several of the holes. A good course to play with friends and associates.
Great day, Great golf!!!
We had a fantastic day at Camaloch. It was our first time to the course, but right away we received good service and friendliness from the staff. The course was beautiful, it was lush and green. The greens rolled so nicely. Everything was clean and maintained well.. We thought it would be a drag to drive so far just to play there, but the drive out was beautiful and peaceful and put us us in a great frame of mind-very relaxing.. We will definitely golf there again.
Beautiful setting
Thoroughly enjoyed the round. A few challenging holes, but open enough to allow getting out of trouble. The course was in great shape. Would definitely recommend playing it.
Course condition
I have played the course many times. Greens were in very good shape but the second cut of the fairways were very bad. Grass was very long, with flowering weeds it appears to have been several weeks since it had been mowed. Very hard to hit out of and spent a lot of time trying to even find the ball!
Enjoyable course
I found the fairways to be very wide. the rough is thick but manageable. not a lot of water on this course and I did enjoy not dunking my shots. This not the most challenging course but some holes play long with slight dog legs and was just very player friendly if you are a more challenged golfer.
Great day
Course in great shape , greens were slower than expected. Pace of play was extremely slow . A women's league was playing on front nine so started on back nine . Unfortunately got stuck behind extremely slow group , refusing to let us play through . We probably would have finished 45 min to hour faster if not for this group . Other than that weather great , course great .
Great fun
Pace is great, great hole layout, golfnow prices are fantastic and make this course that much better
Sloppy fairways
The fairways(remember it is February) were very sloppy. Spent most of our time looking for drives down the middle. They would plug severely. Absolutely the best greens we've played on in Western Washington. Once it dries out would be a very fine course. Layout is beautiful. Had a great time. Staff was awesome. Thanks for a great day.
camaloch winter play
My son and I had a very enjoyable round of golf. Pace of play was good and the course was not bad considering the amount of rain in the past weeks. The greens were holding well and rolling very well. Overall a good experience and would recommend to all level golfers.
jnot to muddy
considerine the past rainy wheather in good shape and the people were awesome
First Timer
Course and conditions were very good. Electric carts were appreciated instead of the noisy and unpredictable gas carts. The restaurant/bar were very good and the food was very good as was the service. Our timing was off because we encountered two tournaments on the same day but they let us play around and started us on the back nine to speed our start time up. Had a great day of golf and hope to return soon.
Sunny. Consistent quality
Always a consistent course to play, groomed on a regular basis. Makes for a great day on the island!
Will go back again
Course was better then when played 10 years ago. Excellent fairways, greens were a bit slow but had been sanded a few days prior. Was done with 18 holes in 3.25 hours.
hiding from the rain
While the rest of the coast was getting deluged, this area sites in a rain shadow so was quiet dry. Excellent greets fast & pure
Camaloch
Considering the lack of rain we have had this summer, the course was in excellent shape. It's a fun course to play and the weather is usually better than elsewhere in the area. Thank you!
Nice change of pace
My wife and I played here for something different and were very happy with our choice, gave course condition a three star only because of the lack of rain otherwise with some moisture I sure this course would be nice and green! Only three stars for food and beverage cause we didn't stay and partake, but looked like people were enjoying themselves, maybe next time. Will try here again for sure.
Golf in the woods
Nice older course with lots of trees between fairways and not a lot of out of bounds. Sand traps had plenty of soft sand. Water hazards contained water. Greens were in good shape. Rained for the front nine but not too cold. Two of us played in 3 1/2 hours.
Slooooooowww, but circumstances
Played only 13 holes in just about 4 hours and 15 minutes. Had to leave and not complete the round as we had to be somewhere at a specific time.
Played here before without the time problem. Asked the staff to drive out in a cart and check out the problem was when we made the turn, but it was too late for us. Damage was done.. There was a horribly slow group with three empty holes in front of them. Staff was friendly and courteous in dealing with the situation. I believe it was a group from a scramble.
