About
EagleSticks Golf Club tumbles across gently rolling farmland situated just outside of Zanesville. The constant up-and-down characterizes the course from the rolling fairways to the undulating greens. The total elevation changes amount to more than 100 feet. The hilly terrain is adorned with pristine forests of oak, maple, ash, oak, and walnut trees. Cascading waterfalls can be found throughout the golf course as well. There are scenic views everywhere but don't let that distract you, the challenging layout requires your full attention. There are 90 bunkers strategically situated along the fairways and greens. It's not particularly long at 6,500 yards from the back tees, it's a golf course that instead favors accuracy over power. The par-5 11th is EagleSticks Golf Club's signature hole. Starting with a daunting downhill plunge, there is a creek that splits the fairway and a stream that runs alongside the left approaching the green.

Love this course!
I host an annual golf trip in June and this has been our Sunday stop for the past few years. The staff here are always very friendly and accommodating and the course is always in great shape! The fairways and greens are amazing, but the bunkers sometimes could use a little work. Hopefully we are not playing out of there too often anyways though right :) The course provides enough challenge from the tips for your best golfers but also is accommodating enough from the up tees for anybody to enjoy. Some of the most beautiful golf holes I have ever played are on this course. With a few driveable par 4s and a few of the par 5s playing way downhill, it offers a lot of risk reward. If you are playing well you can for sure score, but if you are slightly off there are some big numbers out there. I would recommend this course to anybody visiting the central Ohio or Zanesville area.

A mid December golf day in central Ohio.... what’s not to like. Surprisingly Eaglesticks hardly had anyone out playing today when we teed off around 10:30. A twosome with most of the course all to ourselves...The course was in great shape, greens rolling well. Traps have some casual water so pick n place was in effect... great course, great day, great pace. We stole one from ole man winter. Eaglesticks has all you want in challenge. Always a treat..

Slow play
This is one of the nicest courses in the area and it is moderately difficult. The pace of play was terribly slow, I don't understand the point of tee times if you're just going to stack golfers and a our round took almost 5 hours with mno btmreak between the front and back.

Playing Eagle Sticks
Great staff. Great atmosphere. Always make you feel welcome and appreciate you coming. Course is always in great shape. Tee boxes need a little TLC but everything else is great. Easy to get to and one of the funnest courses to play. Great layout.

The day could not have been better!
EagleSticks is one of the most enjoyable courses a golfer can play. The layout and design are unique.....compared to most courses.....but there are no "gimmicky" or "tricked-out" holes. They have found a happy-medium with the height of the rough.....to keep it challenging, without making every trip into it a five minute search for your ball. If you play smart, you can shoot a good score, but if you get too aggressive, the strokes will pile up fast.....as it should be. Our group ranged, in age, between 60 and 70. From the blue tees, our scores ran 74 - 81 - 86 - 87 - 87 - 94. The scores were what they should have been for the guys who went and the way they played. The pro shop staff was very friendly and helpful. The starter was on-point, but also funny and friendly. Our meal, afterwards.....5 prime rib sandwiches and a burger.....was superb, and the young woman who waited on us was super attentive, friendly, and prompt. We could not have asked for a better time than we had at EagleSticks yesterday. Thank you!

Nice layout, but...
Really good layout some holes are pretty tough, but the condition was horrendous. More weeds than grass on tee boxes. Nothing but hard pan dirt in the sand traps. Greens weren’t horrible but we waited on virtually every single shot. 5 1/2 hour round

First time observations
Very friendly and helpful staff, from the pro shop, to the bartender, through the staff member we returned our cart to. Great people from start to finish. Although the course had some wear, in particular the tee boxes and bunkers, the biggest issue was single players playing through groups of four. Our foursome (along with foursomes in front and behind us) allowed four singles to play through which slowed the pace down substantially. The golf course should limit the single players, or at least put them in twosomes, as you tire of watching a single in the fairway behind you wondering why you're not letting him play through.
