Very good challenge of golf
All star course. Only issue we had was that the course marshall incorrectly had our tee time wrong and then wanted us to speed up play . Once he realized that we were right on our scheduled time his comment was, well you need to play ready golf! His hawking of our group made for a bit of a disturbing outing. Totally uncalled for and put a damper on what was otherwise an enjoyable outing.
Lake Spanaway Golf Course
This is a challenging 18-hole municipal course that’s generally in great condition. The staff are as efficient as they are friendly.
Good day
It was a good day for a round today. The pace was a bit slow for us, especially after the turn, but we made it through. The tee boxes had not been mowed in a while and were fairly rough today, we are used to them being better maintained. Overall, not a bad day.
It is in good condition. I will go back to play again.
Greens were surprisingly fast!
I heard stories that the greens got messed up over the winter. They weren’t perfect but they were good and surprisingly fast. Will certainly be back I’ve always liked Lake Spanaway.
Nice muni
It is a fun muni. It is in great shape. Cant wait till next months mens club tournament.
Greens and bunkers
All greens were bumpy with bare spots. No smooth rolling surface. Most bunkers had thin wet compact sand. I was in a lot of them.

This course looks like it hasn't awoke from a long winter's sleep. It was dry. The greens need a lot of care and aerification, sanding and rolling is badly needed.
